Move to Wisconsin if you don’t want to deal with snow. I think in the past 3-5 years, we haven’t gotten 8 feet of snow, only about 15 inches of snow this entire winter so far. All weather is modified by climate engineering these days, no more winters like we had in the 80s/90s and early 2000s anymore.

It’s been a rough winter for weather and cooties. Errrybody gettin sick. Hope you feel better soon. With the constant stress you deal with, a nutritionist might be of help to get you loaded up with the right vitamins and diet to counter the effects of the stress and fatigue. Im seeing one now to build back up after a mystery illness. Wish I’d thought to consult them before the stress took me out.

Sistering the rafter boards will give you many years, just like restorations of old homes 12:57 with dry rot/termites/etc. You’ve got willing helpers, greenhouse is empty, plastic is holding. It’s all good for now. You can sleep. Then give everything another thorough check tomorrow. That’s the real world, and you’ll be just fine. Maybe some specialty cooking for those great guys!

I'm in the southern tier. That rafter is a pretty easy fix. It can either be replaced, or we would just double it. Use a floor jack to straighten it back on, the bolt two boards, one on each side, three feet past the break. We do that often down here.

Sorry, Nicole, I feel for you. In the winter of 2016-17 we had Snowmageddon here in SW Idaho. Many buildings collapsed under the weight of the snow. Our buildings aren’t built to withstand the weight because we are a high desert and almost never get that much snow. It was a big disaster for a lot of people. I’m wondering if you could add vertical supports under each rafter, that reach the ground?
