LOL, I just ran into your channel. I'm a Chinese American, grew up in Shanghai, China. I gave a thumbs up to this video because it brought back so many memories during school. My classmates invited me parties and we had such good times. One of my fondest memories was during a pre-game/party drinks at one of their homes. I remember my friend pulled out his Whisky/Bourbon for a quick survey of which is the best. Keep in mind, we were all college students so we couldn't afford the expensive stuff. So all I remember was, there were definitely Jim Beam, Wild Turkey (which I thought was the most American name ever), Jack Daniel old #7, Evan something, and several others. I remember being surprised Jack Daniel was NOT the number 1 voted among us. It was a run-off between Wild Turkey and Evan something, and in the end Wild Turkey was what we voted to be the best. Of course, we were all kinds of s**tfaced at that point, so hardly scientific despite all of us were graduate students to become scientists and doctors, but what a good time that was! Your video captured so much of what a wonderful time we had! I love America!!! Thank you.

Here's an idea for you to try... Fat Washing. Seems to be a technique popularised by Don Lee, a bartender at the New York City bar Please Don't Tell (PDT). You wont need a full week, just a couple of days. The premise is you leave alcohol in various fats/Oils and it imparts flavours between the two. I tried this with a cheap rum and solid coconut oil and it was good! They say (however they say a lot of things), adding butter to bourbon gives it a nice butterscotch taste (can also use the used butter for icing) and can used a smokey whiskey with cooked/rendered bacon fat to make bacon old fashioneds. How would it work with other fats though... rendered steak fat to make a beefy brandy? Or how about a malort with margerine? Google fat washing alcohol, and let your imagination run riot. Pick your poisons, mix it together and leave it in the fridge for 2 days. That will be a fun experiment. No Bone-Apple-Tea though. Solid fat will be disgusting. Again they say popular combos are bourbon and melted smoky bacon fat, rum and coconut oil, vodka and truffle oil, moonshine and butter, vodka/gin and olive oil, rye whiskey and duck fat and apparently gin and blue cheese. Mayo and Madouri? Kahlua and Chorizo fat? The possibilities for others could be disturbing and ingenious! Anything has got to be better than the Century Eggs and everclear!
