max id suggest trying wild turkey 81 proof its one of my favorite cheap bourbons. for something a little pricier i really liked bulleit bourbon. and as for a super smooth but flavorful bourbon knob creek. if youre looking for irish my buddy keeps recommending 2 gingers for a good cheap one. for canadian id say try proof whiskey if you can get it. or if you want something for shits and giggles then go with liquormens dirty ole canadian whiskey. its literally the trailer park boys brand whiskey......i havent had it personally but i also hear Wayne Gretzky's whiskey is nice. not sure if they ship international but heres a link to the liquormens whiskey www.lcbo.com/lcbo/product/liquormen-s-dirty-ol-cad-whisky-trailer-park-boys/480442 and if they do ship out of country probably also one of the best ways to source canadian whiskey.

honestly bulleit for the price is one of my go to's along with wild turkey just cause here in canada its alot cheaper then some other shit you can get but its also better IMO. as for knob creek gotta be one of my favs for a bourbon you can almost always get, unlike with things like pappy van winkle. havent had the chance to try angels envy but its pretty pricey here when we have it.

I still can't believe in what I just saw...Whisky Sommelier (at least that's what was said on the video and what they got medal for) is re-using the same whisky glass for like 4 times without even rinsing it? I can't believe my eyes...Come on, guys! It's not just that but also the fact that you drank one after one without rinsing your mouth with some water.. oh wow.. ..

Although i don't smoke cigars, i've seen videos where Cuban cigars are matched with great American bourbon.

I like a good Cuban cigar and a great scotch. May try it with a great bourbon this weekend. Got to stay objective.

The color on that Dalmore is absolutely beautiful, enough to convince me I need to buy one someday.
@mojoelite4 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately that is caramel coloring. Very common even in high quality scotch. Bourbon is always natural color otherwise it cannot be called bourbon.

My #4 on the bourbon would have been Blanton's.

Even with only watching the first few minutes of the video, I can safely say you're both right. To me, Bourbon is better than Scotch, when I'm in a Bourbon mood. The more whiskies I try, the more I realize that I like varous styles of whiskey in general. I do lean towards Scotch as an all time favorite. But Bourbon and Rye aren't far behind. They might tie for second place, or maybe Bourbon is in second place with Rye close behind in third place.

Somehow for me a bourbon has a bit of an artificial taste for me, and a Scotch is the pure thing. 🥃

bourbon is more heavily regulated than scotch is 🤣 ...no color or anything other than water is allowed to be added to bourbon. i love scotch too, but bourbon is my go-to for a daily drinker. the sweet, fresh charred oak, and caramel flavors beat out the musty, woody, complex flavors of scotch when i get off work and just want something simple to help me wind down at night. if im with friends or my dad, scotch all the way, the complexities are inarguable and interesting, and it makes for an excellent conversation drink.

I bought a bottle of Booker's once as a company Christmas gift. There were 52 people and I had them pitch pennies for it. You have never seen such fierce competition.
