I had the opportunity to drink a glass of this at my uncle's house on Christmas eve a few years ago. He waited until everyone else left and it was only him, my dad and me. They poured me a glass with 1 large ice cube inside. They taught me the "Kentucky chew". To smell it first then take a drink and hold it on your tongue. It was the best whiskey I've ever had!

Wonderful bottle ! I have a (old version) of Van Winkle 10 years , a Van Winkle 12 years old and a bottle of Willett 21 years old Rye in my collection ! All three are closed and i love them ! Cheers , Chris from Bremen / Germany

It's about as obtainable too. But that being said we got a sample for WLW and it's probably the best whiskey I've ever had in my life.

I have a few ounce left in my 2015 WLW, it puts everything to shame. There is at least one bottle of WLW in my town that I know of at the moment for $700. There are a couple of places that have George T. Stagg in town for $600-$700 a bottle too.
