They're known for the ecu and related being voltage sensitive. But I'm sure they're not alone with this problem.

Well unlike most manufacturers that don’t bother changing much because they’ll just come out with a completely redesigned new model. The new stelvios and giulias - 2022-2024 have had almost all problems improved upon and resolved, and the new ones are excellent vehicles that they actually fixed all common issues with that I can tell and greatly improved all the features and functionality of the vehicle . The very problematic ones were 2017-2018 and some 2019s had some issues.

So after owning an AR (Brera 2.2 JTS, to be specific), no matter how I'd love to get my hands on Stelvio, my wife is totally against it, since the memories of Brera are all too fresh. I get it, on the conscious level you know a 202x car is not gonna be as bad as a 2009 car but you still remember how you spent at least a day or up to a week at a shop EVERY month (seriously) and spent more cash on repairs than on the actual car -- I don't think I will buy an AR unless I win a lottery. But dude I wish you good luck with Stelvio, and I hope it keeps being a joy and not a money pit.

Brera, beautiful car, but many of the 159 range were much abused. Alfa received a bad rep after the Alfasud debacle, crashing the S/H sales value, cheap cars, not maintained until someone like yourself picks up the pieces 😊

I got my 2020 stelvio q4 about 8 months ago with 29k. Now with 43k on it I already want to give rid of it. I dont really like the suspension, I know is more sport oriented but 20% of the time it drives nice and rides smooth and the other 80% rides like the car has more then 150k miles on it. And going more than 65mph I feel the steering wheel vibrating and shakes a bit. I install 2 different set of tires and valance the wheels and cant seen to fix it.

I own a 2008 BMW X5 E70 4.8i with 141,000 miles on it. It’s a nightmare. 3 rear differential replacements in 3 years. Water intrusion everywhere. Needs new catalytic converters. The list goes on. It’s a nightmare junk. I’m actually purchasing one of these vehicles a 2019. I will take this vehicle any day over a BMW.

Well the problems you are talking about are very picky and most people would never notice any of those things and there will be a difference between a vehicle that has been owned and taken care of since new vs buying one with 45k miles and who knows how it was driven or what repairs have been done to it before.

Im just gonna stick my neck out here and ask if anyone here has considered comparing a 2022 Mazda CX30 turbo to this Alfa Romeo Stelvio? Im extremely picky when it comes to performance, handling, reliability, appearence and infotainment systems. Im saying this from ownership experience......the Mazdas are certainly a force to be reckoned with. That being said.....Im on the fence about switching from Mazda to Alfa Romeo. Prove me wrong.
