17:39 that discomfort is pressure on your bones, which will aid in the long term in building some density. We already live in a comfort society as it is. 🙂

But what are they made of. I have heard ductile iron, and the site just says cast iron. Looking for something more durable thn cast iron.

@@jimcortez3293 Our very first sample run was made of ductile iron because that is what that particular foundry poured, but we have since changed foundries and now use ASTM A-48 DeZurk certified iron. There is almost zero chance of failure with this product and if by some miracle it did, we would happily refund or replace it. Each batch is run through a spectrograph and catalogued because this iron is also used in parts that if they were to fail could cost lives. As for other bells claiming to be made from steel I would ask what type of steel. Most steel bells that come from China would not qualify as steel in the United States. Steel is a very difficult ally to cast and the cost benefit ratio makes me question whether those products are actually steel. I plan on running a popular brand through the spectrograph to see what it’s actual composition is.

@@jimcortez3293 Hi Jim, I'm actually on my way to the foundry in Texas to oversee production right now. I do plan on running some samples through their spectrometer. I don't own the equipment so it's taking me a bit longer. I will say that I don't know for sure what those bells are made of, but having manufactured my own kettlebells and spoken to numerous foundries it would be highly unlikely that they would be considered steel by US standards. You could if you liked enquire as to what type of steel they use. Should be a fairly easy question to answer if one is using steel. Best regards, Nikolai Puchlov

@@jimcortez3293 Hi Jim, I appreciate your loyalty to your kettlebells and your enthusiasm for kettlebells in general. I do think they both order quality products from China. I just don't believe they are steel by the same standards that we grade steel and it doesn't need to be because casting quality has come a long way. I do still intend on testing them to find out and ill make sure to share the results. I've actually ordered from the same foundries in China for my gym before I had my own patent pending design. Anyone can and slap their own logo on it. That's one major reason why I will not have my products made there along with others. As far as our design goes, many kettlebell sport athletes have tried our bells and are now trying to sell all of their old ones to get more PKs, but there are definitely people who will still prefer the old style and that's great too. I'm just glad kettlebells are finally catching on. Maybe we'll be in the same area sometime and you can try our bells . Best regards, Nikolai Puchlov

You taught that so clearly and concisely. No fluff, but entertaining enough to watch for 24 minutes. I also love the look of and restoring old tools. I’ve got RKC kettlebells that I got in 2006 that only get better looking as the years go by. I also had some early comp bells with loose filler and that was a big bummer for how much we pay for these beauties.

The other great thing about the Pro bells is that the paint doesn't chip because....................................................................................................there's no paint. There's no paint because paint chips are insanely hard to get out of carpeting, and they stick to your arm. Plus the pros also have two ranges, one for smaller people, and one for larger people. Now that's passion.

Excellent take! I recently did one unboxing of a 26kg. I posted it on Instagram. Very impressive! My only concern is for juggling & throwing it around, the face & nose would be deadly. Does not apply to me since I’m not focus on stunts etc. But nevertheless it’s notable.

I'd love to see a video to hear of your fitness journey after your 'i want abs' documentary. What you learned since, if you kept up your program that you did, do you still have abs, do you still do swimming, functional fitness etc. etc.

The bells we use in the gym and I also have at home are competition standard, and all the same size covered in a rubber coating.. this appears to be common in Australian gyms. With the pro bells it’s the handle which is important for me. The one 16kg I hsve is not competition standard, and is a more difficult bell to manipulate. The most recent one I received from China needed to be polished down as it was very rough on my hands. Do you have doubles of any of the weights so that you can do bilateral cleans, pressses, snatch etc?

Lucky Australians! 😜 yes I have double kettle bells in almost every weight. When I go for my level two certification it will be with two bells. Currently, level one with only one bell is kicking my butt!

Nicer if they were colored. Also not a fan when version 1 is shoddy then they improve over time on the customers dime - vs doing it properly first. And screwing the initial buyers with an inferior product.

Maybe a weird complaint but the pro kettlebell looks so ugly I wouldn’t buy one. If I like my equipment I am more pumped to use them Prob a weird issue ahah Side question. If you’re getting your cert why use kettlebell USA, which is 33mm? Isn’t the standard 35mm?

Hello from Italy... I know that Fedorenko was the first to create kettlebells with a special shape for better comfort of the forearm. But your Pro kettlebell seems to be a bit dangerous because of the protrusion that it have. The way you show to insert the hand is different from that I use and, most of all, it is different from that used by Denisov, Dedyukhina, Rudnev, Amodio, Rigoli, Ilika, Lopatin, Marcov... ... ... ... ... ... From my point of view your wrist is not in the best position, and also the angle of the handle is not very right. A tipical standard hand insertion would give more comfort to the athletes and more effectiveness in order to get numbers. I hope Fedorenko's invention will be the standard for the future, without the protrusion of the Pro kettlebells.
