And speculation also kills "the fun." Comic collecting was once "fun." when the cheapest copy of something you once loved is now hundreds of dollars, how can that be fun anymore? Even if you afford it you sure don't wanna touch it. It'll get spine ticks! By the by, your theory about how we discovered movies we came to love...grazing and scanning and accidentaly coming across something, we didn't know what it was and came to love it...brilliant insight and so true. So many movies I now own and love, I came across parts of them on the late late show or the SUPERCHANNELS. And that is now all gone.

All I could think of when you showed Shaw Bros. ,"Bondish" set was Woody Allen's "Whats Up Tiger Lilly". The artwork has that same characters look. Great discs on today's cast. I have "night of the blood beast/giant leeches" blu-ray. Excellently fun movies to watch. The MST3K bonus episodes are a riot to see again as well. Also got the Looney Tunes collector's choice volume 4 in which is outstanding in content and visually vibrant. Hope you had a groovy Thanksgiving! Enjoy the upcoming holidays! Great update Heath. I appreciate that you explain how the movies were obtained, your explaining how consumers should make their own buying decisions and how you are not going to keep them all. Many youtubers get free items and never do this. In terms of the "collector's" market you are dead on. Disney charging $65 for steelbooks is the results of this.

I remember one thing about Invasion and that was Nicole Kidmans inconsistent "North American Standard" accent . She normally does that accent pitch perfect. It was a real distraction especially when the film itself wasn't real good.

Couldn't agree more that it's the art ON the disc not the cardboard around it. There's one unnamed channel where the guy tries to justify his multiple purchases of different slipcovers by telling his wife they'll be worth something when he's dead. Beanie babies all over again. 🤦‍♂️

THE ADDICTION was released by Arrow on blu-ray several years ago with the same cover art, and I'm guessing the same extras. Not sure I need to upgrade to 4K. Arrow used to include blu-ray with their 4K releases like Vinegar Syndrome and other companies, but they stopped that practice several months ago. I remember MEN OF WAR as a fun action film. It was based on an original script by John Sayles. Re THE SWAN PRINCESS, "I know nothing about these..." Yeah, right!

Interesting note about The Forge, the director, Alex Kendrick, has a received an A+ CinemaScore on his last four movies (including The Forge), the people that like that type of movie really like his movies, specifically

Incubus is a long lost Shatner movie that has a separate bluray and 4k release. It is voiced in a long lost foreign language. Shatner had to learn the language. Interesting movie!

Don't love that a lot of these companies have moved to like 80 percent of their releases are just movies on 4K that they released a Blu Ray's of a few years ago, find collecting way more fun when I can discover new films I didn't know existed. Some companies are better than others but yea

I hate it when discs don't have art on them, i especially hate the gray on gray, i had to sharpie some of my discs just so i could read the title at a glance when i flip through my dvd binder.

Hope you and everyone here had a great Thanksgiving! I've ordered the Asian stuff and it's on the way. The Shaw spy movies arrived last week. I've watched Angel with the Iron Fists already. It's a bit hard to follow at first but it's a fun campy movie once you get to the main storyline. The star, Lily Ho, also did a Shaw spy film called The Lady Professional, which is good, but not part of this set.

Yes, if you watched a number of kung fu martial arts films (late 70s, early 80s) and you're looking for something new in the same mileu, wuxia films are a good choice. They have more melodrama and sweeping landscape photography. Plus, they feature more women.

The video on Toxic Crusaders is upscaled. Retroware used the old DVDs as the source and just used AI to upscale the video. And for clarity, the Retroware brand was purchased by Screenwave in order to escape a bunch of controversies with AVGN & their own staff. Retroware was it's own channel w/ tons of unique videos that were deleted after the purchase. I wouldn't trust what they do, personally.

Amazon owns mgm. I can see shout factory picking up. The first movie on your list. And shout select bought the rights to arcane season 1 and 2. The toxic crusaders. Was remastered in 4K from the original negative. And in 6 months they will release a 4K version.
