Boutonniere Basics

A traditional boutonniere is not that difficult to make.... Until you need 50 of them in a hurry. This video clip was designed for the floral designer who needs ìjust needs a little more helpî from friends and family. Many hands make any job easy.

My daughter would like a bridal bouquet with magnolia flowers? Would you be so kind as to show some ideas that incorporate these? She also desires her bridal bouquets (8 in total) to have peonies in them. Any ideas for boutonniers would help immensely as well. Thank you so very much.

These could be made up to 24 hours ahead of time. Given; quality, well hydrated blossoms and stored bagged in a cooler.

Do calla lilly Boutonnieres need to be refrigerated overnight

That's an excellent question, Sue! Callas are long lasting flowers and they can be placed in the cooler, but just watch the temperature as they don't like to be too cold. The key to having them be fresh and long lasting is to make sure they are well hydrated before you design. That way you can be assured of beautiful flowers every time.
