Bow Head Wrap with Stretch Velvet Fabric - No Sew

In this tutorial I used a 5 x 35 Stretch Velvet Strip to make a baby head wrap using a book that measures 7 inches wide. I used a book that I had on hand, it doesn't have to be a book you can use the bow boards or cardboard anything you feel would work that measures 7 inches wide which is the size for a baby head wrap. The method I used is a no sew method but if you would like to secure it you can sew it a little or you can use a little glue in between the end just to secure it.

If you like the headband wide you can use a 5 x 35 strip or you can use a 3 x 35 or 4 x 35 strip if you want the headband width smaller, I would use an 8inch board or book for a 6-12 month to make the wrap

How do you stop this fabric from curling ? I love how the velvet looks, but I once bought my daughter a similar bow and when it became undone I tried making the bow again but the fabric curled bad.

It may have curled badly since the fabric had already been pulled and stretched the first time the bow was made. I would take my iron and gently iron and steam the inside of the fabric to get those edges straight and keep them from curling ☺️

I cut on a cutting mat using a Fiskars Rotary Blade and line it with a long ruler while I cut to keep a straight line
