BOW HUNTING ALASKA | Barren Ground Caribou EP. 2

Brad from ‪@4BOutdoors‬ and myself are up in the arctic circle of Alaska with caribou tags in our pockets. It is both of ours first time hunting caribou and we couldn't be more excited as we've talked about this hunt for several years. We encounter quite the adversity on this episode but through perseverance we come out on top. Come along with us on our journey on the arctic tundra to try and bring home some meat for the freezer with our bows.

It’s a fun hunt even for little kids. I’ve been taking my son up for this hunt since he was 4.

Yes it is! It sucked me in enough that I will try to spend at least a few days up there every year on the haul road if I can. How was it for him hiking in the tundra or did you mainly just keep him say in the truck or camp watching?

@@NewDivideOutdoors the first year was hard for him to walk too much but we put a few miles in each day. Last year (he was 8) we put 6-7 miles in a day, put a great stalk on a grizzly that another hunter came in behind us and blew by taking a shot over 100yds at with only pins to 50yds.

@@patrickscott1250 that’s awesome and heartbreaking at the same time. I’m excited next time I’ll be up there I’ll be able to tag a bear if I come across one, I’m sure the caribou will appreciate it.

@@NewDivideOutdoors it was very frustrating for us both but also a good teaching moment about being a good hunter and being considerate of other hunters.
