Yes I can see what your saying but, if he wants to look friendly to new players he can do that. If he walked the sections next to him the area with the other building he could do that instead

"n" will turn the night vision on and off, if you havent already, you should place a flag down so other players cant demolish your walls or build around your walls. If there is no flag someone can build a watch tower next to one of your walls and hop over it.

Also you should consider upgrading to level 2 walls or build a second layer of walls around the first. If you upgrade to level 2 walls it makes it harder for players to shotgun into your base, and two walls (spaced at least 5 meters apart) means they need more C4 to easily get in.

@@michaeldale4057 Not really. They bleed out shortly after they get hit with an arrow so he can track them easily. And if he shoots he draws in all the puppets in the vicinity and wastes his ammo. Also he really doesn't need that much meat.

I believe if you double click the arrow on the “vicinity” screen, it will automatically stack it for you, saving you from having to manually “join” them after picking it up.

I think smart thing would be to make another wall and tents behind it for survivors. I wouldn't invite them to my home right away. And we wanna see more of your base building and work around it! Bow hunting was nice, but the real fun (for me) was the base building and sharing ideas about it. :)

Why not be both? Be a sort of hunting lodge. You can let other people stop by and stay the night if they want to do some work in a different part of the map. All the while you can keep on throwing up trophies on the walls and such. Being a place where people can temporarily base out of to do some raiding of the higher loot area's near you would likely require some open storage over where they would be staying for temporary storage of supplies and such if they want it. It goes well with your theme of being friendly with people.

maybe put a couple tents and try to place like weaponry racks on the look out tower and your trophies on the outside of the building also put a couple beds outside the gates to kinda give survivors an idea so if you are not there they can rest and wait for you

About base... if you are going to upgrade it (metal and barbed wire ) those walls that you put on facing the wrong way are going look weirdly. Just a tip for bases because I had a lot of problems with the building, probably because I always build on bumpy terrain.

With your base, you should do both, the decor and make the camp. If you put the tent down. You can take someone in and then in that case you can isolate them form the main house if needed.

Great Video! Really love your content! As for what you should do: Why not both? Show them, what you achieved. Show them, who you are on this island. But still remember where you came from! A helping hand can change the course of one's destiny. I really love the idea of your place becoming at least a place to take a breath for an exhausted survivor. But you should still most definitely take care of your "inner sanctum" and not allow just everybody entry to your personal belongings. Be smart about it. I would love to see your little outpost become a small survivor hub on its own for people trying to get into the bunkers and military bases!

I'd say both trophies and guest tent is great, but probably putting the tent somewhere like on the opposite wall from your entrance and not blocking your vehicle from getting in and out.

My heart sank watching him smack into that tree. It was like a movie😂 But in regards to opening your base to others for shelter etc; I would limit it to your community on an as needed basis. Have a schedule for them only that it’ll be open to avoid conflict with marauders. Also trophies are always cool so put em up!
