Bow Mount Install for a Trolling Motor on my OldTown BigWater PDL 132

The bigger washers was the way to go. I got a boat, and was always told if you if you make a hole weather it's fiberglass, stainless steel, or plastic you should use silicone to prevent leaks. Hard to imagine a bow mount trolling motor on a kayak. Looking forward for the complete installation.

Don t forget the rubber seal to ensure it is water tight and leak free, the seal is a good backup and prevent water damage down the road.

My man I have seen a lot of how to Video's but I have to say this is the first one I have ever seen that was so clear as to what you were doing and then you showed everything so that it was clear. I hope people see this video and learn from it. If you going to do a step by step show it so people know what you are doing and how it should look when done. Great Job.

Boss Man You should put some marine grade silicone on them bolts you drill through the kayak hull. That keeps the water out.

I like your style. You do things right... like the bigger washers. I have the Autopilot 136 but am thinking the Big Water might me a better choice. The Autopilot's motor won't link to the fish finder and its slow. I really want the fish finder to link with the motor and the way you're gonna get it is with an Xi3 or other motor cut down. I'm curious how fast yours will go on the water. I'll be checking out your other videos. Thanks for the video.

One Tip for ya brother that'll save ya a headache later trust me , I can't do a kayak I tried , I stayed upside down more than I stayed right side up lol 🤣🤣,, Soooo I went to a Bass Raider, basically made out of some if the same Materials , I Was hesitant about drilling holes in my Raider, If you do Any mods to it ya gonna have to , So I Religiously Buy And Keep Marinetec Silicone, It's messy I Get it all over my hands BUT If I Drill I Fill the holes before screwing in the Bolts washers was a great idea too , I was wondering how long this was gonna be before you did it , you won't be sorry you going trolling motor , I use the 50 lb thrust on this raider and it Flies makes a difference running from a Thunderstorm ⛈️ back to the ramp we don't have Bridges to hide under here ,this will make ya days Out more enjoyable and less tiring especially Fishin Big Water , Lotsa luck Boss Man ,,, Peace,
