Nicely explained, and again thank you for your time in showing us. I'm only just starting to train in Kung fu for fitness and flexibility, good to see how these stances transfer into other movements and use's, I'm just starting to walk with these from watching a 6-day basic course from Shi Heng yi, it's nice to see where they go from basic stances, A bit like Daniel Son in Karate kid, when painting the fence, the movement has more purpose, Thanks again

Haha, that's a great analogy! I'll have to think of some house work we can all do whilst doing these moves for extra efficiency

Wouldn't this be yao bu instead of gong bu since you're not leaning over your front foot?

Someone's been paying attention! 😁 Yes you are quite right, this would be better classified as Yao Bu, but most people know it as a Gong Bu to Gong Bu punch. I had yet to make my video about the difference between the two when I released this and didn't want to confuse the majority of viewers. Now you've made me think of it, I'll make sure to add clarification in the description and a link to the Yao Bu video. Thanks! 🦾

Your "forgotten stance" video helped fixed my straight lead punch. It is I who should be saying thank you!
