Ahahahah, i heard exactly the same thing 2 years ago, but in reverse. Even if Blizzard switches to 6v6 model in the near future, it won't be six months before people start complaining again because of the longer queues. Don't get me wrong, i'd love to play 6v6 again, but i also love the fact that we, people, will never stop whining. Maybe, it is not about a game anymore, and it is about us... But, who cares, when it is possible to shift all of the responsibility to already exhausted game developers.

I mean, as a yugioh player, I feel that radical gameplay changes will only break characters - only reworks and new character releases can fix a game like this. And I don't trust the Overwatch dev team actually understands what makes characters fun to play against. Also, as someone who got into the game with OW2 - it wasn't 5v5, but Ramattra, that brought me here... although the OW2 drama a few months earlier probably played a role in me being aware of the game again.

For the ping-discussion. Maybe something happened with your regular route so your traffic got routed somewhere else and added that 28ms RTT for you. I see the same in europe where I usually have 21ms, but sometimes it jumps to 35.

6v6 just meant the main tank will be doubly miserable. Tank is still the loser role. Either get rid of tank or get rid of DPS... There is no middle ground that would make the game fun.

Did you play in ow1? Tank was the most influential role. It was the role that would win games.

How would tank become "miserable?" Nearly every single human on the planet that played OW1 and still plays OW2 agrees that the tank role was far more stable and enjoyable in OW1 than it is in OW2, and 90% of it comes down to tanks being punching bags for dps now and have severely limited influence in the game, to the point where it's legit just a rock-paper-scissors game for them, yet they are somehow suppose to be the core of the team. A bad tank will lose you the game almost instantly, but a good tank will simply be a punching bag for the enemy DPS. OW1 allowed for incredible tank flexibility at the cost of survivability due to tanks being far easier to kill on their own. The only tank will work in a 5v5 solo-tank environment is if they are severely overtuned in comparison to the other roles, which they really aren't.
