The Red one looks rambutan is the Atsueti (Annatto in English) that’s not poisonous that’s the one we colored our Kari-Kari. That is our equivalent to Zaffron. Here in Kuwait sometimes if we don’t have saffron, We used Atsueti or Annatto for some of our dishes.

The coconut sprout, bowa, looks delicious and maybe good with salad. Thank you for educating us about bowa and ubod. Your oldest son is so adorable helping carry the water bottles. He is so cute - picking some white flower for you. Didn’t quite catch his name - Vladimir or Radimir? Glad the water supplier is nearby. The red flower is annato or achiote. You can grind the seeds to make a powder and use it as food color in any dish you wish to add it to like stew, etc. It’s not spicy at all. I have seen others cook the seeds with oil to release the red-orange color. Take care and God bless.🥰
