Bowen Island - Bowen Festival 1976

Here's a good look at the second annual Bowen Island Festival, which took place on July 31, 1976. Included are the colourful floats, crazy costumes, and creative floats. Plus the highly respectable Ladies of the Night, and a team of land-based waterskiiers.
There's also a wacky boat race, and some footage of the post-parade picnic.
All in all, should be memories galore for those who lived or visited Bowen Island in the 1970's.

I came to Bowen in 1999 and its really good to see how it looked 23 years earlier. Wish I'd been here then.
