Bowes Railway - April 2016 Open Weekend - No.22 Footplate Ride 3.4.16

The third open weekend of the year at Bowes Railway and the first steam trains of 2016. Resident steam loco NCB No.22, built by Andrew Barclay was hauling demonstration goods trains from Springwell to Wrekenton. This video sees the loco leaving Springwell and tackling the gradient towards Blackham's and a footplate ride with the crew to Wrekenton. The railway is open for tours during the week. On the first weekend of every month, demonstration trains run along the line hauled by our heritage steam and diesel engines.
