Bowflex Treadmill 10 Review: Generously Sized with JRNY Programming!

As a large (6'2" 230lb) man this is the type of treadmill I require. I have run the deck off a couple of the cheaper, smaller treadmills but Bowflex tends to build the heavy duty version. Had a 7 series for 15 years and over 10K miles.

Does it have deck cushioning underfoot while running, does the screen shake as you speed up, is the tread belt speed limited during incline and decline modes the way other treadmills are, what options and programs are available on-screen without a JRNY membership, is it loud or quiet and, since Bowflex sent you the treadmill couldn't you just ask them what size motor the treadmill has? At minimum couldn't you use a screwdriver to remove the cowling and look at the motor yourself for the answer? So many questions.....

Good questions It’s hard to find motor specs and they are inconsistent one site says 3hp another 3.75. Not sure ac or dc

I've got the bowflex 22 which is essentially the same machine with steel legs and a larger screen compared to the bowflex 10. Like another commenter mentioned at 6'0" 285 lbs a larger, sturdier machine is required. It's certainly bulky (but so am I LOL) and at 400 lbs capacity, there isn't anything comparable in the price range of the bowflex 10 and 22. That said, this machine is fantastic with very minimal rattle, engaging jrny content which yes is expensive but i'd argue the value is there, particularly if you're just starting out and trying to find out which type of programming, content logging, and blend of off-treadmill exercises works well for you.

Don’t buy this you have to get an annual journey membership that is $150 to be able to use it, plus I’ve had it for a year and the console keeps going out.

You don’t need an app to use it at all there are a lots of modes not requiring subs.
