Really liked this video Brad. Hearing your thought process as you progressed through the game was very helpful. It would be nice if you would do another one like this as the lane begins to transition and talk to us about how you think about making adjustments on the lane vs. making a ball change. Totally agree, especially on a house shot. I pay attention to my ball motion while I'm bowling and make the moves prior to disaster occurring. Totally irritating when I see league bowlers showing up with a full arsenal and still can't average 220. I change balls once my carry starts to seriously suffer or If I'm forced to far left for my own comfort. 3 ball tote for league is all that I carry. Roto Grip Idol Helios, 900 Global Zen, Storm mix spare ball. If I can't score with them, I'm doing something wrong.

Great 10-frame breakdown, Brad. "Quiet shoulder" is my mantra now. I have such a bad habit of throwing my shoulder into the shot. Causes a lot of Brooklyns and it often costs me some easy spares. It's pretty much my only swing thought now.

I was thinking the same exact thing. In fact, at the beginning of the video I misunderstood and thought that was what the video was gonna be. Yea a video of a 3 game series, where we can better see when and how you should adjust your eyes or a parallel move or a ball change and just see the adjustments dealing with transition. That would be awesome, but yea I loved this video

This could be the best concept bowling video of all time. What WOULD make it the best is for 3 bowlers bowl on the same lane and there is adjustment needing to happen. What many of us struggle with, me especially, is what to do and when. I don't see the subtle late 4 that becomes the 4 -9. Or other similar shots. Awesome video. Now let's make it the BEST ever. Liked this video a lot, very informative on the thought process that a professional bowler may got through during a tournament. Something I've learned over my years of bowling is you take what the lanes and pins are giving you i.e., why try to fix it if it ain't broke and working? Keep repeating what you're doing until the pins stop falling or the lane stops giving it to you. To many times I see folks give up and start changing things all because they don't like how the ball looked going down the lane or how it felt coming of their hand or whatever. If you're popping that pocket and striking stay, there till you're not any more then adjust or change things up then but not before hand. You and your family have a good, safe and blessed rest of your evening and week.

Only disagree with you statement is to notice when a change is needed even though you strick. Maybe a late 4 pin would say hey, ya better notice me. The challanged U have is trust in myself. Did I miss or did the lane/ball combo miss? What I like in this video is the thought of room for error. If you get in that error, maybe adjust. A longer/more bowlers would help

As someone with a very different bowling style to you and Kyle seeing this kind of video still was an absolute well of information in how to treat my game. Although it was a little rushed explaining how you decided on your line the breakdown of how you treated each shot was top tier! The only thing I would change would be that the video been done across 2 lanes. No leagues or tournaments are ever done on a single lane the whole game. 2 lanes rarely breakdown the same way.

It is easy to watch powerful players who are high rev and want to mimic what they do when you may not have the same type of tools to do so. What I have found is that by keeping it stupid simple and playing within your game, you will be much better. Watching Norm Duke really puts this into perspective for me personally and it really helped me to dial in my game. You can get too caught up in trying to create these steep angles and high revs to create more hook to play those steep angles. Everything in this video is stupid simple so it is a great example. It is not about who is the most impressive looking bowler with a powerful game. It is really about who has the highest score at the end of the game.

So a few things to start the video, what information did you gather to come to the conclusion of these balls? Do you know the center? Know the types of lanes? How much volume and ratio is on the pattern (you said it was fresh so there's no transition yet) You started throwing shots but were those just guesses? Now you are bowling alone and on one lane so you're creating your own transitions slowly (in real life tournaments, this is NOT going to happen, transition will be faster and there will be others on your pair, at least during qualifying), what kinds of things are you SEEING your ball do on the lane as you progress through a game, I know you're saying the things you feel which is good to know. But what is the ball doing, is it responding too violently? Is it quick? Is it too slow? Is it just right?

Love this type of video. I'm a 1H low-medium rev lefty that struggled staying behind the ball so I often would go through my whole arsenal in a 3 game series cause I couldn't change hand position and didn't have the revs to move in too far. Got some coaching from Kelly Kulick and from a local silver level coach recently and now can throw my Pi all 3 games just by changing hand position. The problem is it is taking me too long to determine when to change so this helped shed a little light on it and what to look for or fix when I do miss.

Been bowling for a year and just starting to get some of the terminology used. Last season I averaged 132 and this season I’m averaging 170. Yes… Love this video. Great to hear what you’re thinking, before and after each shot. I evaluate stuff: standing area, slide in, targeting, how pins react, how ball went through pins, should I move or was it a bad shot. Never thought about my shoulder and I’ve heard that as couple of times in videos lately. ( I tend to have accuracy issues) I’m definitely gonna work on the shoulder thing. Thanks guys

so yeah love the talk through while bowling a game and the game you bowled is similar to a game that one would expect on the first game of league but could you take it a bit further and show some adjustments to transition? I find myself getting a good first game and then something happens to the pattern and I usually start to move left but sometimes I get this over under reaction that confuses me and end up with a not so good second or third game especially if there are a lot of guys with high revs, they can change things in a hurry and it's hard for me to make the right move, do I change balls or do I change speed or hand rotation or do I try a different zone? would love to see you break that down for us amchurs.

So I have questions. You mainly stayed in the same spot to the left more and the camera stand was on the lane to the right. Is there a way you can use the entire lane as an example and move the camera off to help with other style of bowlers?

I like the video format. I hope you do this again on tougher lanes, because that's where the thought process is more valuable. Also, hope you do this process over 3 games, because it's the lane transition that people typically struggle with. I definitely want to see more of these types of videos in the future. Small side note: the virtual scoreboard is a mess! Kinda inaccurate scoring frame by frame, although the actual end score is still correct.

I'm a bit confused about the scoring of frame 4, wouldn't a strike in frame 4 be 90+8+2=110? Why is is 108?
