Love the videos. I haven't thrown a ball in years and I sure miss it! Working nights in a small town doesn't help, but the fact that our little 14 lane house closed down a few years ago really kills it. I think the closest house to me now is roughly 80 miles away, a little far for league night. I wonder if my old Black Hammer would still make that sweet, sweet sound as it crashes through the pocket? Hmmm... I doubt seriously that I could throw it at the same speed or same rev rate I did a few years ago... Damn, I miss bowling.

I absolutely loved the blue in the day, drilled semi finger tip. Rolled my best games. Ive been out of it for 15-20 years and have been thinking about getting back into it. Releasing this blue makes it even more likely I come back. Although Ill roll a 14 instead a 15 being almost 70 years old now. Now I need a spare ball. Back in the day it was my Black Hammer drilled straight. Wonder if they have something like the black too?

Question, Packy! With Urethane, oil gets pushed down the lane. As the NU Hammer is not urethane, and we really can’t tell if it’s resin, do you see the oil still being pushed down the lane like traditional urethane does, or is the ball soaking up the oil like resin? I’d think that that would be a make litmus test for how this handles like urethane does.. So how's the carry down?
@chrisfreemesser570711 ай бұрын
^^^This. One of the benefits of real urethane is the fact that it doesn't absorb oil like resin and you can use wiping (or not wiping) oil off the ball as a fine adjustment. If Hammer was able to emulate this with this new "Blue Hammer" then my hat's off to them. If not, then this new ball is just a resin ball and will still have the same drawbacks

Awesome video Packy! When does this Blue Hammer release? My only critique would be the color. The sky blue makes it almost look like a house ball. But if it shapes the way you need and it drives through the pins, i guess the color doesn't matter. Blue is the new purple. 😂
@CurtisL8.306611 ай бұрын
Packy, did you notice it absorbing or was it leaving oil on the cover? did it shine up pretty quick or did it hold onto the surface pretty good? I noticed the core flares twice as much as regular purple, you think it’s gonna chew up the lane as much? How much was it flaring? It isn’t the PBA’s hardness rule. It is all bowling’s hardness rule, USBC included. The Purple starts league, then goes illegal within 10 shots. It’ll harden again, but eventually just gets too soft.
