I was a brunswick mechanic for almost 20yrs. Found out its not necessary to remove pit board at all. With board positioned to the max going towards the front all you'll need to do with the frame is take off the 2 nuts and prop it up along side of vibrator shaft belt. It's tight but a lot less work. Works on both sides for lower rollers. Ball and wheel.

I used to replace them like this, until I started using the elevator bolt with a ratcheting wrench, you can have the roller changed in 10 minutes, unless they are welded shafts, then you have to do it like this. I also see a sagging pit mount too. I’d replace them, but that’s just me

Thanks for your comment. I had to replace a roller on another machine last week. I used a second ratchet strap to lift the pit frame and it was much faster. However, releasing the ratchet strap is not a gradual process and the pit frame can drop suddenly. Next time I will use a come-along wench to lift the pit frame. Or find a strap with a slower, ratcheting release. I will double check those pit mounts. Thank you for pointing that out. KM

How do you change the lower guide roller shaft

I can only tell you my experience from working on a Japanese A2. There is an Allen bolt that holds the shaft to the frame. It is accessed from the rear of the machine. You have to remove the lower rear plate to access the bolts from the rear. They are near the lower pin elevator guide rollers. You will need some 1/2" drive Allen sockets. Keep in mind, I do not know this for sure, but the bolt threads may be . I have heard that some machines have the posts welded.
