I used to play 4 games for $1 during the summer slow time. Hard to imagine one game could cost $15 now.

Bowling is a lot of fun, and it's a sport that embraces the entire spectrum from children to older adults. I used the sport of bowling when homeschooling my son. I wanted him to learn how to compete against himself, how to keep proper score, and to work toward improvement. These three tenets stayed at the forefront of his bowling sessions. Eventually, my son wanted to join a league, and that's where he enjoyed the social aspect of the sport.

Try duckpin bowling in the mid-Atlantic states (Maryland). White Oak Bowling Lanes is over 60 years old.

I liked the alleys back when they were quiet and regular lights. When they went with that loud music and all that strobe light crap i thought it sucked haven't been for about 25 years.

Bowling is not a sport. Its a game, but fun either way once in a while. It was its image of gross fat guys smoking and the whole place stinking that kept me out before modern times.
