Nice. Debating if I like the cosmic/non-cosmic split. Loved how you were about to have deadwood at 8:55, but the sweep said NO.
@PinDominator Жыл бұрын
Haha that deadwood would've been sick! In my opinion, I like the split design. Although I would balance it out better where there are more regular lanes than cosmic

@@PinDominator Something about how the AMF sweep just plops down....just satisfying for some reason.

Love the old AMF masking units. Compared to today, nothing beats them.

Beautiful center. I also love those masks. My favorite center growing up had them, the blue version. Also great to see they split off dark bowling so people can choose at any time of day.

Great video! And this bowling alley looks very nice and vintage because of the old Amf triangle masking units and also did you know that 8 years ago the USBC Masters was held here (2015) and it looked pretty much the same with the very vintage Amf triangle masking units with the strike light and the one and two ball lights.

The same center that Belmo successfully pulled of a historic 3-peat.

Yep, our centers here in Florida have those same robots that serve the food. (Most centers) that is. Forgot what the robot was called.

Nice bowler alley. Don't get to see the strike light up on the masking units nowadays. Sounds like the pinsetter scissor issue on the lane 21 the mechanic is trying to repair.

What happened to the comments on the Plainfield Lanes videos? Did they want you to censor people's opinions on their stupid decision to get rid of real bowling?
@PinDominator Жыл бұрын
I turned them off because I don't want to be affiliated with all the disgusting comments. You should be grateful I didn't take the videos down. And if you have a problem with Plainfield, contact them yourself.

@@PinDominator Well I was offline all day sadly, guess I missed something. Sounds juicy & sorry I missed it. All I said was I hope they & every center that switches to fake bowling goes out of business. Just facts. Fake bowling ain't bowling. If that's what you refer to as disgusting then lol, you'll need some thicker skin. Plus..it has nothing to do with you anyway. They're the ones who switched to fake bowling, not you. People are just reacting to it. I LOVE your videos. I travel a lot and thanks to you, I know which centers are the real bowling, and which are the fake ones charging $40/hour for fake bowling. Heck there's a casino near me with an AirStream trailer inside that has 2 smaller-scale string pin lanes with skee balls. It costs $2.00 a game and I love it. But I'm not being gaslit into calling it real bowling like the USBC and these places installing string pins are trying to do to us. F*** that. I'll call them out.
@PinDominator Жыл бұрын
@binaryanticommunist1882 I appreciate this comment, and I understand none were targeted towards me. Problem is, I could potentially get into trouble if Plainfield losses business due to the negative comments. It's just not worth the trouble. That is why I turned off the comments. (Maybe in a month I'll turn them back on) But yes, string-pin isn't real bowling. I think the USBC is ultimately to blame, for they gave an incentive to proprietors by appoving it. At some point, bowlers will need to take a stand if it goes too far, because if they can approve string-pin, God knows what the new push will be for the sport..
@binaryanticommunist1882 Жыл бұрын
@@PinDominator Absolutely. The people & the market have the power. And hey, if proprietors want to only offer fake bowling as their business model, that's their right. The market will decide how well they do going forward. But people should realize, it's fake bowling. The people who run bowling on a national level are miserably bad at their jobs. And the Pro bowlers who are silent about this are contributing to the demise of their game.
