I know this is late but the farewell tour was specifically for the United Kingdom. Touring obviously takes up so much of their time that they decided to say goodbye to the UK so they could spend more time with their families. I followed that tour, went to every date. They came back 2 or 3 years later. Also fun fact, some dude was able to organise getting on stage at the Glasgow show when they came back to propose to his girlfriend.
