Had a total of 3 IQT and 2 Venom Shocks, I'll take the Shock. There's so much to like about the Tour it's sooo buttery smooth but gives up a lot in carry. There's a good argument to carry both.

Venom, with snake head was more to my liking because of it's more noticeable tracking pattern. Did it become more effective, polished? I understand one can sand a track ring on the ball these days? To cut through heavy oil patterns?

I like the IQ a little more in this battle. The fact that he Shock is stronger with box finish is inconsequential as these balls are not top end balls. Everyone will have a ball that is stronger in their bag. Breakpoint and shape looked more predictable from the IQ.

Before polishing, it looked like the IQ Tour was using too much energy, evident by the lack of continuation through the pins and the location of the ball while exiting the pin deck. Just like he said, it seriously improved after polishing. Still, I prefer the Venom shock because it seemed to consistently have more continuation.

The venom shock looked more versatile overall...with and without polish. More recover and angle and continuation through the pins. The !Q fared well after the polish and actually looked good...but I’m giving the win to the motive ball this round

Drier lanes will make the ball hook pretty early from what I've found with mine. I've found that the ball likes a little more oil, and have found it work best on longer patterns as well. While drilling pattern will play an effect, the shock likes a little more oil at times.

IQ Tour. Smooth, controllable reaction that's not prone to overhooking. The venom shock looked great further left, but I'd prefer not to have to start there. IQ Tour looked great polished too. May have to give that a try.

Have both balls and both have a place in my arsenal, but the Venom Shock is better for my game, I have two drilled up with different layouts for more versatilely.

7 Years. The Venom Shock is no slouch though. Came out 5 years ago. I think the average bowler will get more use out of the venom shock however.

They’re both great balls. I have a love for the Venom Shock because I’ve had more scores with it. The Venom Shock is also less expensive. Venom Shock

I like Motiv balls, this might be unfair to Judge!... But from the Video, I find the Venom Shock is stronger and reads mid lane better and the pin reaction is Ausom especially when it's at factory finish or dull, while reaction looks different when it's shiny. Overall, I give my Vote to the VenoM Shock.

I think without the surface changed or anything the Venom Shock is better but then when everything is adjusted the IQ is better. So over all out of the box and just for people who would like to bowl Venom Shock is a better option over all

IQ Tour is a 9/ machine on house but on sport maybe the best control reactive of all time. Venom Shock carries much better on house imo. That said IQ Tour is an absolute beast for no tap house tournaments. Like them both and glad I own both.
