Super fun vid, amazing bowling from those kids, and as someone getting back into bowling after ~35 years there's still good info to be gleaned for myself ;) Mark's thought / instruction process just gels well with me.

I coach kids this age all the time. typically 8-12 sometimes older depends. Right now I am working only working on footwork and approach speed. making sure if they are right handed their left leg is out front. If they are left handed their right foot is out front. Trying to get them to slow down and not charge the line like the koolaid man. I have some pretty good bowlers. For those older if their footwork is good we are working on release and targeting. I had kids that just started bowling within 2 or 3 weeks of doing this simple 1 step or 2 step throws being on the right foot bowling over 100 or close to it. the main part is to have fun. I have a group of girls i call them the cannon ball club. because they run up and cannon ball it, but they have fun. that is what matters.

Appreciate these videos more than I could express; after having neck surgery it's been tough to find consistency. I've watched numerous videos outside of this channel, but y'all have really spoke to me. After shooting less then 500 last week, I was able to get back to my norm of years ago this week. I used to average 200 if not more. Thanks PS I do have one question, something I have been trying to figure out for years. How do I help with knee pain. My own recent find is to purposely drift left and make sure I slide towards my target. Previously I would slide away as I made room for the ball to come through. Even doing this, my knee still hurts. Any basics to work on to help? Balance and footwork for sure, but anything else?
