I really miss my red pearl hammer. Faball was a winner back in the day…

I bowled my first 800 series in 1987 with the Blue Pearl Hammer.

Loved the blue pearl Hammer back in late 80’s. Had some of my best years with that ball. I do recall the weight block separated in a couple of mine. Pro shop operator told me there was a bad batch so he would replace it each time. Had the red pearl also but for some reason that Blue pearl just worked better fur me

💯 agree and That’s awesome your PSO honored the balls that separated. Different times for sure. 👍🏻

Love the Ball in the work of re drilling my dad old inferno and its looks beautiful before and cant wait the get my games on its its was past down from my dad to my cousin cause i was too small to hold the weight then i got it and im hoping to show people that the ball helps but really its all about the bowler and the mental game we play. You played amazing.

U d da man!!!! That was the best ball ever made next to the black hammer!!! Never shot a 300 but my biggest game was with a blue pearl. Then the original nail. Mahalos for the awesome video!! Looking forward to the next one!! Happy new year ma braddah 🎉🎉

I love the way it holds the line and hits very hard. Pretty ball too. BTW, I just obtained a brand new in the box never drilled Brunswick Cobalt Rhino Urethane in 14 lbs, my weight. Original box and warranty card. As you may recall the Cobalt was the last of the great pancake Urethane Rhinos and the strongest one made. This one was made February 1991. I hope to have a video up soon showcasing it.

IMHO those original Faball Hammers were the best bowling balls ever made, bar none. I still throw all of mine regularly, have honor scores with ALL of them, and they still work great on a THS

I still have my 16lb Blue Pearl from 1988. It’s my favorite ball of all time. I can no longer use it because of it being 16lbs and having a bad wrist.

I put my blue pearl in retirement in 2019 because it was my dad's and I threw it in juniors and it was my go-to when all my reactive balls were not working.and I am serious about getting it back out and doing 120 grit trucut and polishing it for the league I bowl in on old wood on the 2nd shift of league.

Hammer pearls were the real deal. I had the red pearl that got stolen. My junior team had two kids throwing the blue pearl and we won the league That ball was hitting like it did, 35 yearrs ago.

The pearls were great loved watching Steve Cook wheel them on the tour. He would blow racks with them!
@OldWorldAscension3 күн бұрын
@KingOfTVBowling I think Cook loved those balls. He was the first pro I saw warming up at the pro am I bowled in. Throwing a blue pearl drilled leverage, seemingly, and whacking the pattern.

I found a great PBA telecast (Seattle Open 1990) on KZbin with Chris Warren hooking the lane (22 out to 2 and 4) with the blue pearl Hammer. Chris was seeded #2 and Voss #1. The final was amazing, so I won't spoil the result. Just don't read the comments for spoilers.
