Where did you find a 7 inch ruler. As a keen collector of tools over the years I have never seen one or seen one advertised. That must be a real rarity. Regards from Redruth Arnold

Many thanks for the comment. Pre Covid I would visit ME exhibitions a couple of times per year. My main focus was the tool suppliers. A company I bought from many times is RDGTOOLS.CO.UK - 01422845222. On a couple of occasions RDG would give out these 7" rulers as a 'giveaway' with a purchase and I have 2 of the rules. I do not know if they are for sale, but you could contact them to find out. The 7" length is most useful and they are my 'go to' short rules. regards, Ed

Hello, I'm sorry but I didn't understand if the 234s have to be modified to run on 1 gauge tracks or they were produced directly in scale 1 by Bowman. Thanks for this help.

Alessandro, many appologies for appalling late response. The 234 is NOT suitable to run on gauge 1. Also in my view it would not be possible to modify the engine to run on gauge 1.

Hi, I really like your Bowman 234. What year is it? Scale 1? Congratulations for the tender !!

Thanks Alessandro. I think the best description is an oversized gauge 'O' although in reality it is a 'tin plate' toy and not strictly to any scale or known prototype locomotive type. it will fit on 'O' gauge track which I believe may be the same as Mamod track. I don't know the year of manufacture of the one I have, I believe Bowman went out of business in about 1937 so the youngest it could be would be over 80 years old.
