There's a meta thing that says that the Mario games are ALL fake in the way a movie is fake- a source of fun and entertainment, in other words- and the characters are all basically actors going through the motions...so yeah, maybe Peach and Bowser have something going on off-camera.

About the first part. I think that Sunshine isn't planned: Bowser is literally a military strategist with an immense army, and equally powerful technologies and magic. I don't think tracking Peach's flight to Isle Delfino and preventing them is too difficult for him.

Bowser Junior's mother is not Peach, he acknowledged at the end of Sunshine. Bowser and Jr. are actively working together in this one. Also Bowser more than likely doesn't die. Bowser only has one kid. I remember you said you wouldn't be using the sports games in the previous one. Proceeds to use the sports games. Rosalina does not reset the universe, it was the Lumas she even says so herself. The stars are the ones with the power in the Mario world. No Just SMG happened/never happened. Everything else happened and is acknowledged.

Peach has said that she also hates Bowser and doesn't enjoy being with him, if she's kidnapped it's because she's kidnapped for no other reason and she doesn't enjoy being with Bowser, she even prefers to spend time with Mario because he's the one she even meets she feels safer and with whom she has more confidence, so in conclusion Peach does not love Bowser, she prefers and is very fond of Mario to the point that they end up being even on occasion, both having a good connection, in On the other hand, with Bowser he does not feel anything more than hatred or he does not even feel anything for him, on the other hand, with Mario the opposite happens, so much so that they both have great affection for each other or if they could end up being together

Hello again Mister Awesome. After getting your reply on the last comment I left I decided to wait for this video before commenting again! Let me just preface this by saying my opinion hasn’t changed. I believe all of the points I brought up in the last video are still valid and I don’t think the evidence in this video supports the original theory any further, but I will say that overall this video is a lot more reasonable than the first to me. With that, I’ll be responding here in the same fashion as last time! Let’s-a go! [1:41] Like I said at the end of my last response, Peach clearly wasn’t in on the Super Mario Sunshine Bowser plan, as she met Bowser Jr. for the first time during Super Mario Sunshine and was clearly taken aback by his claims of her being his mother. Peach fighting for Mario’s freedom in court shows pretty definitively that she didn’t want him locked up. [1:53] I think this is a little far-fetched with what you’ve established and kind of flies in the face of the original theory a bit. Last time Peach was described by you as “evil” and wanted to supposedly throw Mario in jail, yet she simultaneously has a soft spot for him and a sudden change of heart after Super Mario Sunshine? [2:25] In my opinion this is just further evidence that Peach wants to spend time with Mario in general. That’s more likely to be why she invited brought on vacation twice, invited him over for cake, etc. previously. [2:40] Actually that’s not quite true. Unlike Super Mario Sunshine which was entirely Bowser Jr.’s plan, New Super Mario Bros. was a collaboration between Bowser Jr. and his father. We know Bowser himself was directly involved because he was fought in the World 1 Caslte, he constructed Towers, Castles and Fortresses all over the Mushroom Kingdom and he rallied his minions to invade in the first place (which is why we see them all over the levels Mario adventures through). The bosses work for Bowser, not Bowser Jr. In the ending of Super Mario Sunshine, when Bowser Jr. tells his father he wants to fight Mario again, he means as a team. He wants to work with his dad towards the same goal. He’s letting him know that he’s not giving up just because Peach isn’t actually his mom. [3:49] Dry Bowser is not actually dead Bowser by the way. Mario didn’t kill him here. In Bowser Jr.’s Journey (which takes place before New Super Mario Bros. in the timeline) it’s revealed that Dry Bowser was actually originally caused by a side-effect of Bowser ingesting too much Skeletone Formula:D. This caused him to turn into Dry Bowser, much like how Mario turns into Fire Mario when he eats a Fire Flower. Under normal circumstances, Bowser’s skin has lava resistance. It’s clear that the Skeletone Formula:D inhibited that factor, allowing for him to turn back into Dry Bowser once again when Mario dropped him in the lava during the World 1 Castle. Don’t really have much to say about the early discussion of Super Mario Galaxy, I pretty much agree with you, aside from around [5:39]. [6:09] This is where I disagree. Peach is very open to Bowser about having absolutely no interest in him. She flat-out expresses her distaste for him and his antics to his face in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, Paper Mario and Super Paper Mario, referring to him in such lines as: “Urgh!!! Just ignore that idiot!” “You are the single greatest disaster to ever befall the Mushroom Kingdom!” “I have nothing to say to you.” “Your...WIFE?! That...sham was not a wedding!” etc. So really Peach isn’t playing Bowser like a fiddle. She’s not trying to hide anything from him, she’s pretty up-front about her dislike for him and how he acts. [6:44] Rosalina wasn’t the one who reset the Mario Universe, that was all the Stars and Lumas. Rosalina was protected by them alongside Mario, with both of their minds being put into new bodies in the new universe. The events of the game weren’t fully retconned, as Mario and Rosalina still remember them, while the events of other games weren’t effected whatsoever. Only the events that happened during Super Mario Galaxy were replaced with those in Super Mario Galaxy 2. [7:02] No, New Super Mario Bros. was not retconned. I have no idea why you say this game specifically was retconned but not any of the ones before it. That doesn’t really make any sense to me. [7:37] The events of New Super Mario Bros. Wii take place before Super Mario Galaxy, before the universe was reset. How do we know this? Well, during the ending of New Super Mario Bros. Wii, we can actually hear Peach reading out her letter from the intro of Super Mario Galaxy, directly implying that the former leads into the latter. The Lumas only “pushed back time” (and only from Mario’s perspective) to the day before the Star Festival, which we know because the decorations in Toad Town for the Star Festival are all still up and many guests/tourists are around the castle for the events. [8:21] How did Bowser know it was Peach’s Birthday? There are plenty of easy explanations. 1. Peach is a celebrity. She is a well known figure. It’s as easy as an online search to find out her date of birth. 2. Bowser previously got Peach a birthday present in Mario Party 4, along with birthday presents for Mario, Luigi, Wario, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, etc., which means that he knows everyone’s birthday, not just Peach’s. So unless you think Bowser was canoodling with all of them too… 3. Bowser could’ve easily learned Peach’s Birthday when he attempted to ruin the party on Peach’s Birthday Cake during the original Mario Party. That event took place on the day of Peach’s Birthday too, and since Bowser was there he could’ve easily put two and two together when he saw the giant cake that’d been made for her. Regardless, it’s clear that Bowser has a history of being around on and being aware of Peach’s Birthday. [9:11] The hair looks like cake decorations. It would’ve easily gotten past the Toad Guards (who let’s face it, aren’t the brightest) as a present for Peach, especially since the Koopalings hadn’t been active for a long time before that point and wouldn’t be as easily recognised. Plus, Peach, Mario, Luigi, Blue Toad and Yellow Toad are all clearly a bit suspicious of the cake once it comes into their line of sight, before Peach goes over to inspect it. The Koopalings and Bowser Jr. just acted too fast for them, and they weren’t aware of the cake beforehand. [10:00] Nothing much to say here early on that I haven’t said already, but once again New Super Mario Bros. wasn’t retconned and Rosalina wasn’t the one who reset the universe. Time wasn’t turned back per se - we just pick up where the events diverge. The whole universe “played” in it’s entirety from the beginning after it was reset, however it wasn’t until the Star Festival came up again that Mario’s consciousness from the previous universe was placed into his new body. Nothing to say on Super Mario 3D Land, New Super Mario Bros. 2 or New Super Mario Bros. U! Nothing really to say about Super Mario 3D World either, aside from the fact that Peach generally wants to help people in need, which is why she jumped after the green Sprixie Princess. [14:54] Both Super Mario Maker and Super Mario Maker 2 aren’t exactly canon in the way you may expect. For now, let’s just talk about the first game. Like you mentioned, it doesn’t feature much in the way of plot, but what we do know is that it’s a level creator where Mario himself builds levels and then somehow also plays through them…? Here’s where things get interesting: Super Mario Maker is likely an in-universe program for making Mario game stages. The Mario you play as in levels is not the real Mario, but rather a character within the program. What leads us to this conclusion? Well, quite simply, Mario Paint. Mario Paint is shown in artwork to also be an in-universe program tool that the real Mario uses to make art and music. This can be seen in the game’s artwork. Super Mario Maker features many connections to Mario Paint. The Coursebot, Undodog, Reset Rocket, Sound Frog, Babyface, Mr. Eraser, Cursor Hand, and Gnat Attack Minigame in Super Mario Maker are all originally from Mario Paint, plus many more. On the Title Screens of both games clicking the different letters of the title cause different effects. The implication is most definitely that this is an in-universe level maker. Mario Paint even features an in-game Mario that moves on the Title Screen and through the music you create, much like the Mario that’s on the title screen and that goes through levels in Super Mario Maker. Nothing really to say about Super Mario Run, but then we get to Super Mario Odyssey… [Continued in Reply]

[16:25] Bowser seemingly didn’t have any feelings for the princess at first, only kidnapping her to stop her from reversing his magic and later to use as bait for Mario. It was only after multiple kidnappings that Bowser actually began to fall in love with Princess Peach. However, Bowser doesn’t kidnap Peach just for love, not even in Super Mario Odyssey. Yes, Bowser certainly is in love with Peach, and has been for many years, but that’s not the only reason why he kidnaps her. The main reasons are because with her kidnapped he can easily take over the Mushroom Kingdom and sometimes because she’s a good bait for Mario. The love is secondary to his goals of conquering the Mushroom Kingdom for his people. Bowser wants to Marry her in Odyssey for three reasons: 1. It will make him King of the Mushroom Kingdom 2. It will make Peach (who he is in love with) his wife. 2. It will make Mario Jealous. It ticks three boxes off his list. He gets to rule the Mushroom Kingdom AND he also gets to have Peach as a wife as a result. Love is not the main reason for the plan here. Other than that, nothing to say about Super Mario Odyssey, I think you pretty much hit the nail on the head. [18:06] So once again, Super Mario Maker 2 is likely an in-universe program. Now you might be saying “but this one has a Story Mode”, and while you’re correct, if anything the Story Mode here just further proves that it’s an in-universe game. The Mario we play as? The Castle we built? The Peach we built it for? All part of the game world. As established, the UI characters from Mario Paint return in Super Mario Maker - but they’re also here in Super Mario Maker 2, interacting with Mario and the others. Heck, Partrick, one of the UI characters for selecting Course Parts, even mentions the Course Maker and invites Mario to come visit him there some time. Think about every level Mario adventures through during the game. Every one of them was built by someone else, someone who somehow edited the terrain and placed down enemies as challenges like a god. The descriptions for these levels acknowledge the stage themes, the game styles and the level gimmicks. It really doesn’t make sense as a real adventure that the real Mario went through. It’s clearly a digital Mario within a literal game. A literal course editor, where he can interact with the UI characters. And he’s testing the player-made levels to raise in-game money so he can build a castle for his digital Princess Peach. Mario can even add course parts to the Story Mode stages mid-level. If he was the real Mario and could do that in any other game I think we’d have seen it by now. The final nail in the coffin here - at least for me - is that despite the fact that Peach’s Castle is supposedly destroyed for most of the game, it can be seen intact in the distance of the New Super Mario Bros. U grassland levels during Story Mode. Again, this indicates that it’s a literal game background rather than an actual castle that’s there for the in-game Peach to live in. [19:28] Rosalina isn’t the daughter of Peach and Luigi. In actuality she’s heavily implied to be Peach’s indirect ancestor. Rosalina can’t actually travel through time, for that she’d need the power of the Cobalt Star or something else. Anyway, this was fun! Interesting pair of videos, and while I definitely disagree with the idea that Peach ever liked being kidnapped in the first place based on everything she’s said over the years, it’s a fine first dive into Mario theorising and analysis.
