Frederic Malle is my favorite parfum house! Musc ravageur i have 3 bottles and portrait of a lady 4 bottles! Bought them , more than one bottle because I found a great deal and it was a must buy opportunity 😅! Best regards from Madrid 😊

Great review. I just blind bought Iris Poudre. I like Iris as well, and you made a good point that FM florals can be worn by men. French Lover mat be my #1, but I have 7. Great house as you said, many as works of art.

Love FDM. Easily my favourite niche house easily. And....That’s a solid top 5. Honourable mention to Cuir & Rose. Dries Van Noten. And I’m you on French lover!! Took me a while to like as I dislike vetiver intensely, but it’s so well put together.

Eau de Magnolia i can wear anytime anywhere. I overspray as it is light but dry down is wonderful and nice thing is there are body products. Same as Lipstick Rose. I have to be in that mood. Nothing like it. And again hairmist body products ! French lover is one I love for its richness and as all know, nothing and no one possess creativity and diversity in the spectrum of fragrance. It flows from Frederic Malle. Have iris poudre in my sights. Thank you for your great video!

Musc Ravageur has something forbidden inside the bottle that is not listed. It made me addicted to this scent and I'm not joking. I have several amazing niche perfumes, but nothing makes me crave to spray myself with it as Musc Ravageur even if I'm alone at home cleaning the house, I have to get those whiffs otherwise I may get withdrawals

@@hocineted7594 i don't think Frederick Malle has best or worst, all perfumes are very different, usually created by different perfumers who were given a freedom of creativity. Musk Ravageur was reformulated, when people speak about a super polarizing strong smell, I believe they speak more about the old version. It's a beautiful fragrance, with sweet, almost gourmand notes (zero florals), musk is gentle, very well blended with other notes. You need to try before purchasing, get a sample first and you will decide for yourself. Don't buy a full bottle. Smells don't have friends. I love MR, but I really don't like for example Portrait of a Lady, Carnal flower, etc

Musc Ravageur is super good! I had no hesitation to get a full bottle immediately after sampling it. I sampled the Portrait of the Lady. I’m still struggling if I should get a full bottle because I found it nice but not so unique. I have a few in my collection that smell similar to it (ex: MFK Oud Satin Mood). My husband couldn’t tell the difference between them after the dry down. Though I love this house, there are other fragrances from different houses would be more priority on my ‘to get’ list. Maybe I will get it someday when I got everything on my wish list. But Musc Ravageur is a masterpiece. It’s so unique and I never smelled something like it. I have no regret getting it.

@@hocineted7594 I don’t think it smells old at all but also not a youthful smell. I do the think it is 30+ unisex scent. Also very modern, not classic at all. The Moon and the Night are little too Middle Eastern for my taste but scents are very personal and subjective. I strongly recommend you to test Musc Ravageur because it is definitely a masterpiece for my taste.

@@hocineted7594 I think it’s a mix of synthetic and natural. I’m acknowledged that when a fragrance use only natural ingredients, it tends not to last and project so I don’t mind to have some synthetic mixed in it as long as it doesn’t smell so synthetic. Depends on what are you looking for. Like Fragrance du Bois claims that they only use natural ingredients but their performances are really bad and selling at a high price. I know some people don’t care about performance but I do because my skin doesn’t hold perfume very well. Of course I also don’t like a fragrance only use synthetic. A good perfumer should know how to mix both synthetic and natural in a good way. Musc does have good but not great performance on my skin. Last about 8+ hours with moderate projection. I use it in any occasion and any day. I also use it year round.

Im newer to niche perfumes and the one reason I got into Niche was Portrait of a Lady. Its so good. I liked it so much that Ive purchased Musc Rav., and French Lover in the past month. They were blind buys, but ones im very happy with. Im debating on weather to get Night by Frederic Malle but that price tag has me nervous. Its one i will get a sample of first. Thanks for videos they have been a huge help with my journey into Niche.

absolutely agree with No.1 - first i tried/sprayed Musc Ravageur i was like ... aaah .. but wen off the perfume boutique and walked to the parking lot (around 15 minutes of walk) .. i sat in the car .. and woooooooow !!!!! what a round, warm, polished, sophisticated smelled made to the perfection!!!!! one spray on the hand opened up and filled up the whole car and smelled beautifully for another 2 hours of ride on a highway .... then i came home, ordered a 2 ml sample just to make sure in right decision, yes! i bought a bottle !!!!!!! my No.1 juice of all time!

@The Mass Gainer Trainer Channel if you start with Musc Ravageur, you skipped all the boring designer perfumery scents that still repeats themselves and don´t bring anything new on the table (only a nice 10mins opening effect to take money from a customer who let influenced himself by first impression ... this perfumery strategy is based on) .. but if you go straight into Hermes or Frederic Malle = it took me 5 years to sniff all the designer/niché things (around 500 bottles) to get to this timeless, genltemany, non-offensive, easily wearable, my own personal style .... you saved a lot of money and went to the best thing (the other things of Frederic Malle are pretty difficult even for trained nose, but Musc Ravageur is very mass appealing, very pleasant and classy)

@The Mass Gainer Trainer Channel Hermes is a bit hit or miss (not only for the first time) but it´s always definitively quality of ingrediencies .. everybody hypes Terre d´Hermes (it´s clashing orange + earthy thing=vetiver) .. it´s a type of serious CEO, business scent - no smile, no step into personal zone .. :) but it´s a quality ... personally i go with Hermes Eau Tres Fraiche = which is freshy, yet classy (not smelling basic or juvenille like the rest of designer DG, YSL, Versace things) ... then try Hermes Colognes (Pamplemousse Rose or Eau d´Orange Verte ) Pamplemousse is pleasant, sparkling grapefruit smell and Orange Verte is Green,bitter Orange smell = both very classy - for you as a trainer, they´re perfectly light, transparent, not heavy (heavy spicy, leathery scents are good for winter times) .... these 3 are all year rounders: Hermes Eau Tres Fraiche, Pamplemousse Rose and Orange Verte = then add some pics on IG and give me an echo how you enjoy them ... i love these things: wanna have complete Hermes collection because they don´t care about marketing, don´t do any adverts, they simply care about classiness and not going with trends (same with Frederic Malle)

The sales associate asked me to let it sit on my skin while I continue to shop around, and I'm glad she did. The scent came alive on skin and had projection power; needless to say, that quickly brought me in as a fan of the house. With all that shared, I just purchased my first 100ml of that particular scent... now I'm interested in the ones you covered. So, I'll definitely be grabbing a few samples to play around with. There's no point in buying fragrances from fragrance houses already bought by Estee Lauder. They have reformulated all fragrances. No reason to spend so much for a reformulated fragrance.
