Getting started on the ls swap of my 92 Silverado. I'm doing this on a extremely low budget by swapping trading etc etc to get the parts I need for as low and cheap as possible. I will make a list of everything I have so far and how much is invested so far in the next video. It will be a stock 5.3/4l60e with headers and a tune only for now. It was originally a sbc tbi truck with a 700r4 trans.

The "I'm broke" budget is a budget I can stand behind!

I understand. I had a 315 hp rated 350 built and a 700r4 425 hp rated for my 1992 short bed. I had $35000 for it and I became disabled from a horrific accident. My professional body man found out he had cancer about the time he had all the rust cut out of the cab and all new rockers and cab corners replaced. He didn’t have insurance so instead of using my $35000 for my truck I paid for his treatment. He got 2 extra years of life for that money plus the other $28000 I had left to build my handicapped bathroom in my house. Now I have a hard time getting to the bathroom without an accident and I don’t have a truck to go to the doctor or grocery or anything else. My buddy died almost a year ago now and I don’t have heat or a/c in my house because all the money I had left after paying my house off went to him and trying to help a man live decent through a horrible time. When we found out he was on his last 6 months I asked him to get his mechanic to bring my stuff back before his mechanic quit. His mechanic stole and sold $15000 in new parts still in boxes. I had everything purchased and ready for the truck to start painting the frame and finishing all the poly bushings under the cab. The rest are already finished. My buddy just lost his father to cancer under 2 years when I got my truck back. I came home to it scattered around my front yard with all my parts missing and with his mechanic not to be found. I am hoping some day that someone else in this world will come and finish my truck and my handicapped bathroom. The way the world is people who were friends disappear when you require a walker and wheelchair to get around. I doubt I will ever get help back in return and I will have to watch my construction and truck sit and rot into the ground. I basically lost $80,000 that I had to allow me to live and have one nice thing to take to car shows as a hobby and I lost about $35000 on the building because the contractor walked away from the job after I had already paid him and let several thousand dollars in materials ruin. Always make sure you get insurance for work because I had no way to prove anything because I was “ getting a large cost and expense break by paying cash “. Point of all this is I love seeing your videos on what is my favorite trucks. I would give my last friend every dime even knowing the outcome of how hard life is for me now that I did and even more if it would have helped his pain and made his last days any better or just gave him a few more days. I am 52 and my friend died at 53. Way to young. Use all your breathing safety gear when working on vehicles. Do everything you can to help others. If I had $150,000.00 it would make my life so much better and possibly give me a chance to get around and still socialize a little and I worked hard and had just a little more than that after I became disabled and paid my house off so I would never be homeless. With that small amount my life would change so much that I could get out and help others again. Thank God I had it to help that man have a decent end to his life. I tried to post a picture of my truck before we replaced the rockers and cab corners but we had already put all new bushings and shocks and had it leveled. I had the $3800 wheels and tires and $1800 stereo and it was beautiful even with the rust. Well of course those were parts missing as well. He broke the dash and interior parts to get all the speakers out and both amps out. No I didn’t have it because I wanted to thump. I had it because that truck was going to allow me to be able to be around people at car shows with my retro mod so I didn’t sit alone at home and only have contact with all of you who will read my story. Thank you for allowing me to have someone to talk to today.👍

Also I've been subbed for a couple months now. Keep up the great content & don't be on edge to do/make some crazy shit. Show people how it's done in the country!!! Nice healthy looking Pitt man. Good security dog. Did I see an ol Chevy Luv in the background? U really know your way around a engine. That is so very useful these days. I've spent so much on mechanics & all they do is rip me off. I spent 1200 on my brakes. Rotors, calipers, pads all around a year ago. To this day it goes to floor sometimes & I hear grinding in both front tires. It sucks man. I should b stopping on a dime after that. Anyway take care . C ya on the next 1....
