@BrokenRRT well, statistics is used everywhere. i mean, not in one's day to day life, but tons of professions use it, regularly. i think you could find a ton of stuff on google without much trouble if you are interested.

it is simply a visual way of representing important statistical values. a picture is worth a thousand words

q1 and q3 is wrong calculated according to formula q1= 0.25(n+1) so 2.75th location so 21.75 is first quartile and q3 also that 0.75(n+1) which is 8.25th location 64

I stumbled upon this page and picked a random topic. You are great! I think KZbin video's could be "certified" and used as instruction instead of teachers and the teachers could pass out homework to practice based on the videos and then administer quizzes and tests in class. Wouldn't this be a load off the education system? It would be much less expensive in the long run because setting up is always expensive. Of course, this would only work if we had posters of your caliber. Thank you again!

box and whisker plots use the median, not the mean. you would have to ask your teacher/instructor

Very well stated. My students were doing a STARR practice and the manual failed to include the values adjacent to the median of the set of values. Keep it short and sweet next time.
