gotta say box car racer is absolutely successful as a side project, it contains every element that a blink fan could expect but with more depth and darkness. Personally, I feel bcr very different from the later ava.

I can't imagine Tom writing music this good now he just couldn't do it. Every one has a golden age of song writing and this was during the height of his. This spawned Blink's self-titled which is their best in my opinion.

SDADSDSFDSGDA I think he’s just changed his style sooo much. Started off skate punk which was very weird and unique to a more pop punk and then to boxcar and then To pre Ava then to AVA which changed so much and now he’s done a lot ya probably hard to make new material. Making music is like growth spurts. You get a lot as it goes on then after a while you stop growing. But also toms made some cool AVA songs. But his early stuff is brilliant especially boxcar racer. I love it

Honestly wish Tom had kept up with BCR instead of AVA. This was by far the best side project he has ever made. The music was so dark, heavy, catchy, and the lyrics have so much depth and it even inspired me to start my own side project aside from the band I am currently in.
@alexzemaitis12075 жыл бұрын
Hey I know I’m 2 years late but I feel like BCR and blink 182 were both things that inspired me to make music and work on trying to start a band because I like very nice catchy pop punk songs and make jokes about running on the streets naked but also do songs that are a little more dark and have more depth which is like the post hardcore side of Tom’s song writing and shows that there’s more to what Tom can do other than act like a 12 year old with blink

Was sitting on the ground in a hotel room in Phuket Thailand and “I feel so” came onto the “MTV Asia” channel. And I fuckin lost my mind. I searched all over Thailand for weeks to find it. And I finally did on a little island of the coast of the mainland. I was SOOO fuckin happy and had it for years. I lost it years ago now. But I’ll never forget where I was the first time I heard this CD. And this album means so much to me. Such a great fuckin album!,,,

Honestly don't believe Mark got mad at Tom for BCR, why wouldn't he be pissed at Travis too?
I think it would be pretty hard to look past it. If my bandmates started a new project and I was the only member to not get an invite I'd feel pissed, it's just human instinct to feel jealous in Mark's situation.
