Weirdly enough, 2% is actually on the very low end of the spectrum with gacha games at large. Even I used to think it was high, coming from FGO with it's shitty .8% for SSRs. The "problem" is that the avenues for getting pull currency are extremely generous, and HG itself has the decency to limit limited banners--as opposed to, again say, FGO where you get 1-2 horribly undertuned permanent units for every couple dozen limited ones.

Looking at rates usually isn't a good idea of measuring how good a gacha is implemented. Else Granblue Fantasy with its 3% and monthly 6% would be insane, except that the hard pity is at 300 draws, no softpity, it takes quite a while to save up 300 draws and individual character rates are garbage.

@@crypto66 the way I look at it is how many pulls on average it takes to get a max rarity unit, how long it takes to save that amount of currency and whether that unit is usable when pulled (i.e. is this a game that requires dupes or not)
