I also started this game this year. Hadn't played a single gacha ever since I quit playing Kantai Collection in 2021. I just really fell in love with this game and haven't missed a single day ever since I began playing at the beginning of march. I'm also halfway to hitting level 90 in doctor level. The biggest things for me have been the awesome gameplay, great characters and overall what to me feels like a really decent gacha system, though I can't really speak on that front a lot considering the only other gacha I played was Kantai Collection, heh.

Actually, I can't say for sure what type of content I'm gonna make, I have a TON of video ideas, next video is probably gonna be about Mephisto but when I'll finally catch up with the story and and stuff, lore videos will definitely come too. When I get good at the game (doubt that's gonna happen soon), maybe I'll do like operator breakdowns. I'm also always open to suggestions so if you have something specific then you can always suggest it :D

I started playing arknights from like virtuosa banner and oh boy it become my NO.1 gacha of all time and im not even that deep into story (still its more enjoyable then stories in other gacha games). The amount of creativity this game put in me just to see how can i beat same map on 2135554 diffrent possibilites is amazing. Character designs are litterly top tier. Gameplay is realy fun and im talking as a guy who didn't like tower defense. I played a bit TD but i get bored after like 4-5 hours?

Always nice to see a new doctor around, especially one interested in the community. A tip if you're going to browse Ao3 like that though, heed any Dead Dove warnings and use filters liberally. It's mostly just one or two authors writing things like that, so it's pretty easy to filter out if that's not what you're looking for.

I started practically exact the same time as you, felt so many things you said in this video too LOL. I'm a big tower defense hater but for some reason this game just has me going crazy everytime I play it (in a good way). Love how flexible the game is too for all kinds of players, F2P players have so many good free/low rarities to use to clear practically anything, or spenders who can do some crazy stuff too. Despite being pretty new I already spent a lot on the game cause the packs are too good (thanks to it, almost have every unit I want already, just missing exec alter whos my favorite and also ebenholz, and Muelsyse but i'll spark her on anni), and now I'm at the point where I look forward to getting 625 in Contingency contracts (despite the suffering, it's so fun, managed to get 635 on Pyrolysis). Music is too godlike (operation basepoint is probably my favorite song right now), art is INSANE. Stories also pretty fire! Glad to see other people who started same time enjoying it as much as I do despite being so late into the game!

Would you risk calling out whatever that is, even if it could be dangerous? Or do you just stay quiet in the hopes that it, and anything else that might be around, doesn't spot you? Now replace "pitch black forest" with "universe". The theory says that there could be plenty of aliens out there, but that they might be trying to avoid communication with other aliens in case one is hostile, and questions whether we should do the same thing, and that if we find aliens maybe we should just stay hidden and observe silently.

I love R8-8 to death. At the time I didn't have the units to brute force it. But it was so exhilarating to finally beat it. It's also so unique. I wish there were more "escort boss unit" stages.

I started playing April last year, and it's become my favorite game. The character designs, music and world building are top tier and Integrated Strategies have been a fun addiction. Also i'm only missing 8 operators in the game at this point, and i'm hoping to get them all eventually

Good luck First of all, try to get ash she’s a collab character, usually considered a True limited (well was before she reran 3 years later) If you can’t get her then save for W-alter, she is a meta character that’s coming soon and will probably carry you if you get her while you’re still progressing. Another thing is surtr is in the shop right now, she’s a boss killer I’m not sure if you can get her with 180 yellow certs but just know it’s here for another 2-3 days

I can say that the gacha/event rewards are the best if you clear most stages even if scuffed (especially for starting/mid game players). The only stuff people would miss are free originite prime on side story events. This is the only gacha game I know that give enough premium currency/headhunting pulls for banners/operator skins. If anyone knows any gacha game that is similar to this system do tell me cause I'd definitely be curious.

Ptn is the closest. It is basically eldritch abyssal maze with a similar tower tac srpg. Brown dust 2 is a korean jrpg solo, very nice. Memento mori and nikke are afk rpg with some story and character story

I have to disagree on some parts. One of the most important things of the Arknights gacha system is that it has the Certificate system in the shop, which not only allows you to obtain more pulls but also lets you buy new operators with previously obtained pulls. Yes, of course this only works for non-limited units but from experience I have to say that you can save about 300 pulls in a matter of 6 months so if you desperately want a unit, you're able to pull for it and also get them guaranteed as the pity is in most limited or collab banners somewhere between 120-300, which is higher than for example the genshin impact gacha system but makes it possible to obtain some limited units you desperately want. You may not be able to obtain every single limited six star, I agree on that part but you are still able to save for specific 6* or buy the ones in the standard pool with certificates, which are also completely f2p friendly. So yes, the gacha system is unpredictable, but it's wrong to say that you aren't able to obtain specific units that you want easily. For limited banners, yes they may require a bit more saving but you are still able to obtain them somewhat quickly when pulling for them. Also, you have to consider that limited units have a 50%-70% chance to be obtained when pulling a 6*, so just statistically, you should be able to obtain a unit you desire quickly (although rate-up is still a scam lmao) :D

The primary issue is that arknights has a lot of 6 star ops. 5 years. Compared to path to nowhere, i get the sinners i want in 1 to 30 pulls but i dont need 200 pulls unlike arknights where using 300 pulls just barely gives me a roster of6 stars to clear events. In ptn the swuad is 6 people. Having 1 good unit makes a huge difference. In arknights, having an elite 2 weedy not gonna do that much in stages requiring boss fights or elite 2 stats

I have been quite blessed in arknights nikke and path to nowhere aka abyss maze. Having 1 top level healer hamel with the free noc dps unit, allowed me to clear. A lot of content. In arknights however, having flametail and weedt e1, was not nearly enough to clear event stage 7 or 8, let alone challenges without support units. Recently i got thorns pot 1 and silverash mountain, plus shining warfarin ptilopsis. These units made a big difference but not all stages uses them. I am in easier arknights zone than 1 month ago full of e1 4 stars and 5 stars. E1 50, hard night gameplay. Clearing harold boss stage, nightmare even with mylnar.

The biggest difference is elite 2 units. Having about 4 to 6 of em makes a huge difference. And that absolutely requires time and farming for mats and xp.

I never try to use her in that stage. i have to agreed with you, she is super versatile, sometimes she give you the time to deploy or to active a skill of other operator even with her first skill she can stop the attack of some enemies or make the enemies get close to each other and with that make a Aoe attack more efective. Basically a very versatile operator

Honestly no, I've played it for quite a while (AR53) and the amount of hours you have to sink into this game just to get enough primo gems to pull for characters is insane. It's clearly designed for whales and not as free to play friendly as Arknights by a long shot. Or at least that's my take

@@estrange0 1.0 F2P player, c4 furina, c3 raiden, c2 klee... ak has to have better rates ofc, you have a 12 slot squad and you can use almost all of them at once in battle meanwhile genshin only needed 8 for years until more recently with the new mode. ak also does not have a guarantee nor a low pity(only recently they decided to add pity too), you dont know how many pulls I wasted on stainless last banner just for nothing, if that was in genshin, that would mean my next 5 star was closer, in ak it meant I had less pulls for walter, nothing more. dont get me wrong, to me both have really good pros and cons, buying a 6 star character from the shop is amazing but knowing my mavuika is a guarantee is just as amazing.

I agree with the pity part, I do have to mention though that in Arknights, pulls can be farmed waaaay easier. The end game content in genshin just simply rewards too few pulls so you have to manually do the exploration things, which is honestly just pain. In Arknights meanwhile, you can auto some stages, get your daily and weekly Originium and can just auto everything except the events, which is just way more friendly for casual players. You can also just buy operators in the shop, which is HUGE and amazing for f2p players whereas in genshin, you don't have that luxury

@@estrange0 60x7(a week of dailies) = 420, 420/160(one pull)= 2,6 pulls per week, less than ak annihilation with 3 pulls huh? lets see, 420x4(a month) = 1680(a ten pull) 1600 + 800+800( end game reset every 15 days)=3200 20 pulls per month ak now, 4x 1800 = 7200 from annis + 5000 from dailies = 12200 20,3 pulls per month but then you remember genshin has events every few days which give around 3 - 4 pulls, big events giving a bit more. it has exploration which gives pulls once ofc but you can always do it later so no fomo and they stack a lot cuz game is huge, it has quests and side quests every month that give you a lot of extra pulls if you do them, it has the trees which reward you for exploring with even more pulls. ak has like, two events per patch, most of them give a ten pull but then again, womp womp if youre not a new player and just cry in the corner with no OP cuz you already cleared that event so in the end they just... feel the same. you said exploration was pain and um, I believe thats why you didnt clicked with genshin; the game wants you to explore and its what genshin is, you just dont like exploration and thats ok, its pain for you, not for me. I dont know whats the hype about autoing stuff when its a game and genshin now has a thing where you spend more time booting up the game than doing dailies cuz you can craft like 3 condensed resins and gg, got my dailies done. honestly ak decided to auto stuff in the worse possible way; reverse1999 has an auto where you choose how many runs you do then do the run actually once( on 3x spd) and boom, you get the rewards for the amount of runs. in ak? "oh you want 6 runs? gl watching 6x 2min runs then". and I already talked about being able to buy ops is cool and yea its a good feature but I also said that, you know, not worrying about IF I will get my next target with genshin's guarantee is just as cool, do not forget ak never has reruns for limiteds, I had to farm 300 pulls to spark my skalter.

Compelling arguments honestly, maybe it's just my genshin hate speaking cuz I lost my 50/50 4x in a row xD I'd also argue that Arknights has its originite prime, which can also be used for orundum and can be obtained from normal stages and event stages. In my opinion, Arknights is way less grindy than Genshin (doing events, exploration, etc), which I love as honestly I don't have any free time outside of school cuz of the videos currently so that's a big plus for me. But you're probably right that I'm not the intended target audience. But yeah, probably depends on the person. If you're fine with spending more time then Genshin would be more interesting for you
