Only difference is in Genshin, the banner has 2 rate -up weapons, while in Star Rail, only one lightcone is rate-up per lightcone banner. This means in Genshin, if you're targeting a weapon, you're looking at a 37.5% chance of getting it (since you also need to win the _right_ rate-up weapon). But everything else is same. If you got a standard weapon/LC from the banner, you are guaranteed to get the rate-up weapon/LC the next time a 5 star shows up on the weapon/LC banner. In the case of Genshin, that can be one of the two rate-ups, in HSR, it's the rate-up on the banner you're pulling. And this guarantee does carry over in both.

what surprises me is the fact that we did try....in the first anniversary and it worked......a little bit. We got the stuff that originally was meant to be purchasable only, some apology fates of like maybe 10? idk I think it was 8 or something and some resin. Ignoring the actual anniversary awards we were supposed to get obviously. We tried each year after but everybody began trying less and less and we just soon accepted it. Global had barely any power no matter how we complained. We complained about dehya who was widely loved by the vast majority of the global part of the community but in the chinese portion she wasnt very popular and nobody really bothered speaking up atleast not enough for hoyo to care. After grtting into star rail, i redownloaded Genshin after dropping it like a rock a few months after it came out, it was just too big with too much grind and i dont like teleporting somewhere and still having to run 5 minutes to get where i wanna go. I did a random 10 pull i had and got 2 of the limited 5* back to back, got him to 20, saw that I'd need materials from a whole other continent to get him to a reasonable level, and uninstalled Star rail is just appeals to me more and i feel like it respects my time while Genshin does not do either

Seen post on reddit about how Honkai Impact also had bad rewards, but after three years it got better. The reason - change of the producer. In the first three years, Cai Haoyu was the producer in honkai impact, but right now the producer in Honkai Impact 3rd is David Jiang. Honkai Impact also gives it's players free characters etc. Right now, Honkai Star Rail's producer is David Jiang. Genshin Impact's producer is Cai Haoyu. This is the answer for why Genshin Impact is so stingy with rewards.

I still can't believe the discourse of "oh, you can't compare HSR and GI, they are completely different games". I've played Genshin since launch, have 99% of the cast and all maxed out, and constantly clearing Abyss 12 on the 8min mark. So let's see: -Both games by the same company, applying the same business model. -Both have the exact same system of stamina, but HSR has better QoL with 240/240 pool and extra tank past the max limit. -Both have the same system of gearing system of artifacts/relics, but HSR offers less grind with synthetize, and you can even synth new gear sets, unlike Genshin. -Both have the same leveling skill/traces system, but HSR needs less time invested, because they don't gate the required items behind a weekly schedule like Genshin. And the equivalent of Crowns can be bought at the shop. -Both have the same pull and pity system, but HSR weapon pity is 180 instead of 270 of Genshin's. -Both have in-game currency, but HSR has more influx of currency (even without the 10pulls) per patch, meaning more characters pulls and lightcones overall for the f2p. -Both have an end-game goal, but Genshin only have abyss. For 3 years. Only abyss. -Both have a self-insert MC, but in 6 patches, Trailblazers have more development in the story in 6 patches than 3 years of Travelers "help me, but i don't know about your sister/brother", followed by Paimon everywhere in the dialogue. -Both have powercreep, but HSR makes content that revitalizes old characters, and every character is able to clear MoC 12 with 36 stars, even Yanqing. There are recent competitions of MoC clears that showcase 4* units absolutely demolishing content. -Both have festivities' rewards from real world events. When Genshin got a shit ton of awards, we were rewarded with 100-200 primos maximum. When HSR got their first reward, we got a limited 5 star that is also top tier unit. I can keep on going. The combat system and gameplay being different are just 1/3 of both games. The other 2/3 are way too similar in nature and WILL be compared.

As someone who played the closed-beta of both titles? I can safely and soundly say that Star Rail is the superior game mechanic-wise, and currency-wise. Star Rail gives a lot more opportunity to gain Stellar Jade VS Genshin's meager ways of grinding primogem despite the flood of content. All anniversary stuff aside, i would say that Genshin needs to adapt/cross-code some of Star Rail's perks. An example would be in trailblaze limits. It's a small improvement, but 240 trailblaze vs 160 resin to use to grind can come off as a vast difference when the math for doing both for the same actions are the same. As for what Star Rail could adapt from Genshin? Probably more questlines and things to overall do. When you're done with content in Star Rail? That's basically it. The only thing you can do is either burn trailblaze, which you'll eventually need for the next week's Nameless Honor, or wait for the next day. Genshin? You can essentially run around all day if you want. Mobs drop ascension materials, can be farmed, etc. The closest Star Rail has to that is breakable objects. It says a lot, and while i think the overall gameplay between the three is solid? The gameplay isn't the problem as much as the games themselves are. But, in contrast? I can also see why Hoyo would do something like this. If they were to copy everything over to Star Rail, the Genshin fanbase would drop, and Star Rail would eventually turn into Genshin 2.0 like what happened with 3rd Impact with Welt and Himeko's parts having actual open world elements, and the ability to jump despite coming from the same game that sectored missions off in grids and stage phases. Overall, both are good. Both need improvements. Both are still in progress and non-finalized. Want more gacha stuff? Buy currency. Wanna stay f2p? Gitgud. It's not that hard.

With the drama that was going on with genshin that I saw online, I ask myself if this game get treated better becouse honkai title is more inportent then genshin for devs and wanted to see if that true. I start to by looking at hok3 and saw how the firts weren't very difrent from how genshin reward now until 3 anniversary, so I wanted to see if something happen that made that change the value of player. I notice that both hsr and hok3 get more generoase reward becase of main producer David Jiang who is charge of both of them while genshin has Cai Haoyu. Cai was also work on hok3 for a time, 3 years exacly until he move and let David take over complitly and in that year hok3 got batter reward from there. I hear Cai is stigy dirctor and the way both early hok3 and genshin are show that. Aslo I would like for people to know that both games have inportent for hoyo and the reward have nothing to do with priviligies for the "honkai" title. I would aslo like for this to show that there is no need to argue with people about it(especally in the 2.0 live chat like now) and they could simply be greatfull for hsr producer.

Honestly, I think Genshin's biggest problem is that it still wants the daily login when it doesn't offer any content justifying daily login. They need to copy Star Rail and make more variations of Spiral Abyss. Star rail now has 2x Memory of Chaos, 1x Pure fiction (maybe this also will become 2x), and 2 infinite play modes in simulated universe. Star Rail has content to keep you going for hundreds and hundreds of hours after you complete everything (which is quite little compared to Genshin, that's just because Genshin's been out so much longer). Genshin has a 2 week refresh of an 1 hour "I will instaclear 9 and 10, need to build correctly for 11, and I'll get 3 stars on 12 if it's not too bad this time". That's it. And events that vary from "come and do dumb minigame for primogems" to "come and do a decent quest and mediocre minigames for primogems". All this said, I still really like Genshin. It's a damn solid game and compared to Star Rail it's a bit more F2P friendly in that duplicates don't scale the 5 stars as crazy much in Genshin, while in Star Rail, some characters legit get 20-40% dmg boosts from eidolons (DHIL E2 is probably the most insane example here). And some of the story quests in Genshin have been legitimately great quests that actually made me care. All this said, we saw that Genshin's team really got their act together and fixed a ton of UI stuff when Star Rail came out and showed it how easily the UI could be done right. What Genshin needs now is to do the following: 1: More non-resin content by default. Abyss spire can't be the only thing. 2: Plan the events a bit better. Right now we've had 3 events in a row that are just boring filler. Itto is a fun character but the beetle fighting is just boring. In general, never let it become 3 events in a row of low value content. 3: Give me options to not have to do daily logins. Let me go to an artifact domain, and spend 80 resin at once instead. Make an 80 resin version of condensed, and let it be used on domains and minibosses. Doing the same miniboss for the 30'th time isn't fun. When you've hit the endgame, Genshin becomes a slog. 4: New players are so far behind in terms of team comps etc, that I think the game needs to address this. If I am a new player today, and I just got world level up to where mobs are lvl 50, and rolled to get Furina, I can't use her for the next 50-100 hours of gameplay probably. New players need the following: Ways to get characters up to lvl 60 without access to their regions, maybe with some penalty added. Better value for their standard banner roll rewards, and access to old major events with discounted rewards. Right now, the new genshin player experience is to be recommended to roll for a character you can't use properly until 50 hours later.

Hello box I hope you are doing pretty good.Tbh this is the only way the Genshin developers can open their eyes because after Honkai Star Rail released the game got so popular for Genshin players because there are so much dynamics and features that have never released in Genshin impact, actually you can see that Genshin is trying to copy some of these but come on, Genshin doesn't give us 10 warps for login in every update like Honkai does, the only exception is anniversary and Lantern Rite, If Genshin developers dont dare to change Genshin features and treat their community properly the game will eventually fall. I been playing genshin for like 2 years and i start hsr on 3days before argenti banners end And i can already see the difference between two games tbh. I can spend the same time on both game and hsr will give me more reward or more things to do. Example exploration i always explore with guide for genshin and every area took 3-4 hours to full get everything and even after all that time sometime you don't even get full 10 wishes. In hsr you can spend the same time you can get same or more reward than genshin also even if it is not like crystal reward they give a lot of other stuff like material and so on. That's why i don't do exploration that much anymore unless i really need to cus i feel like it is a waste of time to do.

The devs know that by giving Dr. Ratio for free, it's gonna lit the powderkeg that has been sitting between these two community for a while.
