While E cooldown does and blocks more damage. Against a melee you can beat its generally advised to max q

Try to not max E everytime, it works only if you aren't ahead, and if you can combo so fast that your shield fades when you use cc part. Q max then W (get armpen /ad/TLD) does work nicely with exhaust to win almost every lane but you wont be helping your team so be sure to push hard since exhaust is so strong to splitpush. Like boxbox said, no team fight if you dont have flash and its even better with a GA. This works very well at gold/plat but make sure to know your matchups (avoid/dodge lanes vs tanks such as malphite/maokai/rammus as it is a difficult and boring lane).

Renekton ain't op. He's just a lanebully. Majority of people dunno how to play against Renekton which makes him look like he's op. All you gotta do is win a trade before he gets level 3 and once you get to that point, survive. Once you hit 6 you have an advantage cause Renekton sucks late game unless he's fed as fuck. (Hence you play safe early game.)

It depends who you're playing. If you can win trades then he becomes an easy pick. If you have lane pushed you should get the minions under turret so he has hard time farming and generating his fury. Just keep him under leash and constantly check on his fury before engaging cause he will out-trade you when he has more than 50 fury.

my experience with match-ups is that u just have to survive until lvl 6 when playing a harder match-up, then ur ultimate is a huge powerspike, for example against pantheon - he just reks u with his q's and his passive before 6, but when both of u hit 6, riven gets a huge powerspike and pantheon gets basically nothing (for fighting) , so u can just all in him and kill him

For anyone wondering, Albert actually maxes Q on Riven again (despite what was said in the video). There was a funky meta where it was beneficial to max E-W-Q, but now the general rule is maxing Q-E-W.
