Hey everyone, I wanted to address some concerns about our uploads being outdated or a few patches behind. Currently, we release 2-4 videos a day. Our first and most up-to-date video is always released in the morning on BoxBox (main channel). Then, we release a second video in the morning on BoxBoxBox (2nd channel). If we have additional content, a third video goes up in the afternoon on BoxBox, followed by a fourth video on BoxBoxBox. Our primary upload (the first video) will always be on the current patch. The other three videos may be a mix of up-to-date content and some older videos. To give you some context, we produce around 70-80 videos each month, so it's natural that some may be from a previous patch before the new content comes out. However, we always prioritize ensuring that the first video on BoxBox is current and relevant. Thanks for your understanding and continued support!

I just went 4th with a similar build. I'm still not great at managing my econ and when to roll to save HP, but ended up with 4 pyro, with neeko fiora taric. Eventually got a smolder to replace the random blaster unit I had in my lineup at level 8, but was a little too late. I got the ascension augment which helped me not bottom 4 though haha

I don’t get the opening discussion/complaint of playing well when you’re only relatively uncontested strong builds. Ideally there are multiple strong builds, and being able to scout to see what is minimally contested is a skill. And flexible play is rewarded enough that even the losses are top 4s. That is, in my opinions, the ideal state of the game.

I saw the complaint as more of pivoting being a losing move. Say you and another person hit a good opener for a build, you either hold hands and die or let the contester have a "free game" while you struggle to pivot and play flexible. The more viable builds there are the less thid happens, but unless there are 8 separate good builds someone is always going to be sad and contested.

I think he's just complaining that the strong boards this patch are reroll builds, wherein if you're contested, you lose. And then when you play flexible builds you still lose to rerollers and get a 3rd or 4th, and who wants to play flexible using all your tft skills for just 10lp

From what I saw from his streams, Boxbox is complaining about reroll builds in general and how they should be rewarded in TFT. TFT is a strategy game - it is supposed to be centered around flex play. Flex play needs more strategizing/thinking, which means it SHOULD be rewarded if you opt to do so. It's not supposed to be reroll-centered where one goes braindead force 1 build every game to top 4. This is the current meta/state of the set, which isn't ideal imo. When you compare Set 11 and 12 tier lists for comps, you can see that this set is a wet dream for rerollers as most comps in S and A tier are reroll (count in the Hero augments as they are technically reroll as well). If not for the multiple buffs to Gwen and Briar, only Kalista flex would be viable. This is unhealthy for the balance of the game, especially for high elo. Even the game devs know this, which is why they nerfed some, if not most of the reroll builds like Ahri, Veigar and Jinx by nerfing the main carry's dps. They also nerfed hero augments that are overperforming (they, as a reroll build, SHOULD be rated as A and not S). They also improved 4-cost units PLUS your odds of hitting them at level 8, hence rewarding the flex players more (as it should be). Not to mention, due to charms being a core mechanic of this set, players who opt to go for reroll builds are rewarded more which makes it even more beneficial for braindead force 1 build strat (if I can even call that a strat) since they can reroll for a charm during their rerolling for their units.

so what are you supposed to do if you're Going level 8 or 9?There's only 2 comps - Fiora kalista and fiora karma. If 4 people are playing it what can u pivot into? Absolutely nothing

I’ve been getting consistent top 4s running trist/seraphine reroll. Rumble, galio , vex mandatory front line then rest of game is flex, if I get a vanguard emblem I go 4 vanguard etc.

Ive been playing 5 pyros lately and its always a 2nd. I dont know if its a skill issue or it just doesn’t cap that well if you dont have early pyro stacks

ive had way more success playing 6 shapeshifter 2 pyro recently tbh (or 8 shapeshifters or 6 shape/3 pyro if i hit spats) i think 5 pyro is a bit excessive especially if you're main carry is varus who doesn't really need that much attk speed to be useful

because it’s effect is needed by basically every melee carry, and the only alternative which is hoj gives crit which is even more useless unless you have IE, and it has less omnivamp

Set 6 was just so much better. Being able to go for 4 cost carry or reroll 2-3 costs 3 stars and both be pretty openly viable
