@@JirehTorres hey! We use just Rec.709 gamma for HLG3 profile. And always expose at +\- 0 for HLG3

@@RangoIcyCresent yeah nah don't recommend for this camera. A monitor is useful but external recorder is not. The difference is so miniscule, it's not worth getting it, e.g. an atmos ninja V. We currently use the Andycine A6 plus. It's great but we wish it had a red record graphic show up when you're recording. The atmos is a good investment if you're looking to upgrade the body in the future. Hope that's helpful

WTFFF, The colors is soo good, who the hell color graded it. If you can get colors like that on 8 bit footage you must have god level color grading skills. I use my a7iii to shoot stuff for my KZbin Chanel and I spend way too much time on color grading and yet I still don't get the result I want

Thanks so much man! We used to be photo retouchers and so we heavily pay attention to the grade on videos. The 4K on the Sony A7iii is actually really good esp when exposed correctly with s-log2 or HLG3 picture profiles. We'll be releasing some tutorials soon!

Came across your page randomly the other day and shit - I'm loving the unique look. In a copycat landscape it's refreshing to see just something different and an original look, feel, and vibe. Awesome hearing from you man, we appreciate the kind words. The 4K image that comes out of the Sony A7iii is still a very competitive image (better than the bmpcc 6K and panasonic GH cameras imo). If you know how to push the image and how to grade it well in post it can be a nice file to work with. But ofc it does have it's limitations, especially with no slow motion at 4K. But definitely don't rush to upgrade man, clients just want good looking images, they rarely care about the camera in your hand

@@mychannel-vz8rv thanks a lot! And for HLG3 simply use it with Rec709 gamma and make the exposure is +/- 0. With Slog-2 we pair it with ITU.709 gamma and always make sure we expose the image by 2stops exactly

Mixture. All the day shots were done with the ronin-s gimbal and all the night shots were handheld with a top handle

Internal 4K 420 8 bit on the a7iii 24fps 100mbs. And yeah we rarely use 1080p, it’s not the most usable image

What iso do you use for HLG3 800?

For HLG We try to stick to as low of an ISO as possible, so if can shoot at iso 125 then we do. But if not we never try push over 1600

Honestly.... Photography wise I think you do a phenomenal work with that tiny Sony A7iii. It is the old one right? The one Brandon li used in all his videos I believe. Anywa really good work and the editing it well paced. I loved the idea of lacing his shoes, when he starts running accelerating it with a tiny zoom in effect. Very effective cause it is just tiny, a small detail. Lighting well done. Now If I may give some constructive critique to that one: It's kinda missing some variety of shots. after 30 seconds or so it just seems very repetitive for such a short clip.
