The trees moving thing sounds like a bug that was recently discovered in csgo (so i guess it must apply to all source games). There is a variable for maps called wind impulse that affects the movement of trees and stuff. If you load up a map that has no wind implse value, it takes the last loaded value. So ben likely loaded up a map that had a higher wind impulse for whatever reason, and when they loaded this map it translated to the trees being wiggly but only for him

Fun Facts: The nanobots in Red Dwarf didn't just eat and remake the Dwarf at double its size, like Duncan said. -First, they'd shrunk it down so they could take it for a joyride and turned the extra material into a whole planet for safekeeping. -Then later, when the gang finally figured out the 'bots were exploring Lister's dirty clothes hamper all this time and told them to restore the Dwarf, they rebuilt it to an extended design based on the original blueprints, before the Jupiter Mining Corporation reduced the project's budget and the Dwarf's size to what it was throughout the earlier series. (they also messed up and made it much, MUCH bigger than it was meant to be, but that was soon corrected) -They also resurrected the entirety of the ship's crew and passengers, including Rimmer, with no memory of the accident that'd killed them all and no idea that they'd been revived. -Finally, they gave Lister his missing arm back, along with a load of muscles as an apology for stealing Red Dwarf in the first place.

It's almost exclusively a UK/Commonwealth holiday, due to a concentration of wealth and power in the 16th-19th centuries. The idea was that household staff/tradesmen couldn't take Christmas DAY off, or the Lords and so on would have no one to tend to them, obviously. (if the butcher's closed, where's Scrooge getting that Turkey?) So instead, Christmas DAY was the day off for wealthy people, they'd have a big feast, and then on the 26th, their butlers and maids, and all the butchers and bakers and so on, would get THEIR day off, while the rich made do with left-overs from the day before. This happened to line up with a Catholic holiday (the Feast of Saint Stephen), where alms boxes would be opened, and the donations shared to the poor, so it became a tradition to give your staff/tradespeople their own "Christmas Box", basically a little Christmas Bonus/present for their work the previous year. Hence, "boxing day". (probably. No one's 100% sure when the name came around, so it might have been that Boxing Day was for the Alms box, and they named the Christmas boxes after that, or some other weird mix.) The only US state that officially recognizes it in the US is Massachusetts.

In stargate they at least put a bit of thought into the nano machines to hide the hand waving. (Spoilers Below) the nanites (fancy word for nano machines) were made by the replicators (nothing like the star trek replicators) which are quasi intelligent self replicating robots that can come together and increase their processing power to become intelligent self replicating robots. They also use the material around them to make more. I mean they were also made by nanites replicators that were made by a hyper advanced civilization millions of years ago as well, but thats kind of turns the whole thing into a chicken and egg scenario. Anyway the itty bitty replicators would just reproduce themselves using the surrounding tissue to do the functions of the original tissue.

just for those who didnt go to uni to not properly finish a robotics degree. nano machines are on the scale of only being visable to a electron scanning microscope so if you succesfully make and control them just the mechanics of their movement would allow them to rearrange matter pretty much however you like. unfortunately it doesnt actually excuse lazy writers defying physics but they are wildy op. the one i can remember from revengance (deffinately not a word) the augmented senator just used it for mollecule perfect armour and artificial muscles which is childs play at that tech level. the other problem is if you have nanites everything about the setting should be so far scifi as to be completely unrecognisable. so in fiction yea basically an over abused deus ex machina. but has actual limitation that means some people can do good stories with them.
