Great video mate I wish we got storms like that in south Australia .

Cheers for that. The Darling Downs (2hrs from Brisbane) is a brilliant part of Australia to chase. Big sky area and sometimes gets some really solid shear and some epic storms as you can see! Perhaps 40 thunderdays out there a year. Closer to the NSW/Qld border (on the ranges about an hour or so from Brisbane), the number would be closer to 60. About half of these have some sort of severity... so you can see why we love to chase out there. You should come visit sometime and I'll show you around.

Mate its on my bucket list to get up there for a chase. I have a KZbin channel to for a bit of fun when you get time you should have a look our storms aren't as good as yours. We don't really get the amazing structure you guys get.

Bro how you confirm that to be a Supercell?does it have a hook echo?
@jameschambersimagery4 жыл бұрын
Hey HB! It was very significant on radar but because it was so far from the radar (200km+ and over the ranges), things like hook echo don't always show up properly. Visually it was rotating, and inflow was up to gale force at times. That, and hail larger than golfballs were reported.
