Sir Highness Trust me I know strength helps a lot, I just got done arguing with some dude (his name was like Wing Chun something) and he said he’s 6 ft at 150 pounds and kicked the knee out of a bigger and stronger full contact fighter with 1st and 2nd place trophies then continued to knock out 4 fighters 3 of which having black belts in Jiu Jitsu. Ik that’s not true, it’s pretty easy to just say stuff. Hey I’m 20 feet tall at 20 pounds and I killed 4 bears with one hand, it’s not hard to just say shit. But I’ve known some skinny dudes that when you spar even with their little muscle they’re aggressive and can match you. Look at Prince Naseem Hamed, that dude was pretty damn skinny but I’m pretty sure he’d put the hurt on a majority of people. Look at lower weigh classes in wrestling, I know they’re pretty strong but still, they can fuck a lot of people up. They’ll pick you up and slam most a second.
@candelariocardenasjr7 жыл бұрын
If they were kids his size and age, not guys who weigh 140 +. They would still have more punching power and take his punches just because of thier weight.
@candelariocardenasjr7 жыл бұрын
Ethan Chaney No, Hamed was boxing tiny guys his size and wrestlers go against guys thier size. This kid might beat a guy his size, which would need to be a very tiny guy, but a bigger guy. The heavier guy is going to punch harder and take more punches.
@candelariocardenasjr7 жыл бұрын
Dang I didn't realize this was the youngster I saw with Golden boy. I've seen his last pro fight and he can box and he's good at counter punches. This guy might become better than Mikey Garcia because he has the killer instinct. Starting at 130 though he's probably going to be a welterweight.

@marcosramirez85269 жыл бұрын
dam I don't even think his hardest hit would split my guard he is all speed but little power
@monkeyyyman8 жыл бұрын
Yeah in this demo he's not sitting on his hips and I'm guessing from the fact that his guard is down constantly plus his sweat means he is tired from all the other previous training (done before the recording). Most times on the heavy bag it is preferred to practice on power but technique is just as important. As you can see his coach is critiquing his combination, that's when you don't focus on power as much.
@frostsalonica39618 жыл бұрын
Nice punching but he almost never looks at the target while punching, his eyes are way low. I think thats what his coach told him also. And its a pretty rookie mistake, i wouldn't think he's already 15 times champ!

I watched the first 15 seconds and that was enough. He telegraphs his jab. Put it in slow motion. He drops his left hand then flares his elbow out as he raises it back up - a big wind up motion. WITH A JAB. That's not right, sorry. He should just keep his elbow in and extend his arm. Jab power/speed should start from the feet and then from turning the hips.
@dark-vp8km7 жыл бұрын
Steve Watkins And who are you , you can hit that quick ? Lol these randoms ...
@stevewatkins71447 жыл бұрын
I am talking about technique. Are you saying those jabs he throws in the first 10 seconds are good technique? Every boxing 101 instructor will tell you that is not good technique. He drops his glove, flares his elbow out, and raises his glove back up. That is way too much motion. It doesn't matter how fast he throws it after he goes through all that - his opponent sees the shot coming and defends it and probably counters it.
@KKruel7 жыл бұрын
You're funny man, you have to play the vid in slow motion to see if he "telegraphs" his jab, you've just defeated your whole purpose. Good luck in the ring cause there isnt a slow motion option.
@stevewatkins71447 жыл бұрын
I saw it right away at normal speed. It's very clear, which is why I stopped viewing this garbage immediately. I suggested YOU put it in slow motion because you people are saw in awe of his "speed".
@davesmith8267 жыл бұрын
Steve Watkins is right. Flaring is a common beginner's problem; rolling your arm back up, rather than snapping it back, is another. I know Ryan Garcia is no beginner, but he does have flaws and those flaws will be exposed like night follows day when he turns professional. Thus far he's got by on speed, but when he faces someone durable with solid counter punching ability he's going to be in trouble.
