The kid got the skills for sure but he need to tuck his chin and not stand so straight up.

EXACTLY brother! nice crispy punches, but that style of chin up and straight up is gonna get him in trouble.. more head movement and not be so stiff.. sharp clean punching though, and lots potentiel
@slowvtec1878

James Fitch he also looks straight at the ground when someone puts pressure on him he has good hand speed and technique but watching him I’ve kinda learned the reason he’s always being the aggressor is because he can’t handle someone else being aggressive as well as an non-aggressive fighter. That’s why his last fight was alittle harder for him, that’s why rollie gives him more of a run for his money in sparring.
@iamlegend1405
@iamlegend1405 5 жыл бұрын
James Fitch ur wrong dude lol, he has really really really good ring control and movement. If u seen Juan spar before u can see how much pressure Ryan has. He always throwing and moving really well. when he in range he dips down and uses head movement. When he is on the outside, he stands straight only because he knows what his range is and he is abusing the fact that he has more reach. He knows what he is doing. In the Rollie sparing match he just didn’t have that type of experience to fight such an aggressive and hard puncher. You build that over time not by standing less straight, he has a great team backing him, if they notice anything they will be the first to let him know.

but with the tucked chin and more crunched posture he will not have those snappy punches anymore. You would be surprised how much effect the position of the cervical spine and thorastic spine has on how quick your nerves can fire up the muscles.

Ryan Garcia is instinctive, you can't teach that. Yes he has some fundamental flaws but nothing he can't work on and fix. When he really starts using his defense to transition to offense, he's going to fulfill his potential. Kid is talented

UncleAL if you don't start with the fundamentals and end up working on everything else, 1 of 2 things happen...1) It catches up to you and you get knocked to sleep or 2) you end up realizing you missed fundamentals and when you start to learn them, it messes with your instinct because now there are several other things you are worrying about and your head gets clouded until they become second nature. As a pro, this kid is too early. Amateurs could've helped him work the bad habits that will bite him in the ass later, but oh well...we shall see.

Kid in the black gloves is very upright with his chin right up in the air.
@MrSirFluffy
@MrSirFluffy 7 жыл бұрын
For one, he'd beat your ass. All you would eat is his gloves haha Also I think it's because the head gear. It's not like most gear with an open chin, like the one Funez had. It goes around the bottom of his chin and looks like it presses against his neck. I don't like that helmet he has, looks very annoying and uncomfortable. Also, yeah he did stand a bit to upright. It's not his body that is the issue, it's the fact that he can get off balance easily.

at 1:25 Juan pivots out to the outside of Ryans left foot. it was a perfect position. I think if anyone is gonna beat Ryan that's what they need to do. get outside that left foot and mitigate the destruction that left hand of Ryans causes. great job for both these guys. Ryans head movement looks better towards the end.

Well we only saw one round, from my experience some guys start off slow and turn it up as the rounds go on, but juan seemed discouraged and slow maybe just an off day who knows but when youre fighting a guy who has superior genes like ryan you have to let your hands go cut off the ring make it uncomftrouble for him because if you dont youre just gonna get outboxed and peaced up like in the video.

Kid has no defense. I can tell from this sparring that he mostly focuses on the offensive side. When he throws his left punches his right hand is not up where it should be. In a real fight he could easily get killed because j need a one hand on ur chin to at least protect urself.
