It was a competitive fight not a close one in terms of rounds. Fury’s face was marked up too but marks on your face mean nothing anyway. Fury is just not as good of a boxer. Simple as that. It doesn’t mean he’s terrible. He just knew he would get stopped if he fought Usyk the way he fought wilder so he did the best he could with a great game plan it’s just that Usyk is a better athlete and all around boxer. If Usyk was the same height weight reach as Fury does anyone think the fight would have went more than 5 rounds? It was a 8-4 7-5 kinda fight. No way it was a draw. Fury was holding inside and doing a lot of hitting and holding to avoid exchanges. Fury was also not strong enough again to push Usyk around. Fury fought the best fight he possibly could.

Usyk can drop down to Bridgerweight. Its a small-ish drop from 223 to 215lbs, which is the division limit. Only 2 of the sanctioning bodies, WBA and WBC, have world champions there. So Usyk can beat the 2 champions and become three times undisputed.
@RemyMac2 күн бұрын
Would be totally meaningless though. It's a fake division with no credibility or history. I think the only potential reason for him to ever fight there would be if Artur Beterbiev decided to move up for a superfight undisputed vs undisputed against his old amateur rival. Doing that at 215 or 200 would be great.
@amurleopard512 күн бұрын
@@RemyMac The Beterbiev idea is very good and marketable. They do share a history. Bridgerweight is an astroturf, fake division probably how Cruiserweight was in its first couple of years. It would be an easy route to three times Undisputed with only 2 fights there.
@RemyMac2 күн бұрын
@amurleopard51 yeah, there's just no point in it and Usyks success at HW proves that. Atleast woth Cruiserweight in it's first few years the limit was actually 190lbs so there was legit claim to it bridging a gap. I think today it serves as the perfect staging ground for small HW's as they're all rehydrating to 220+ anyway. I'm happy to see some fan interest in the division these days as I've loved it since the YPH/Huck/Jones/Lebedev era. I think an Usyk - Artur fight at 200 would bring more attention to the division than ever.
