Eddie is brilliant at promotion and, while I might not agree with everything he says, I appreciate that it is his job to create 'hype' in order to generate the biggest return for the fighters he represents! December 2022 was the 3rd time Aj/fury fight was being negotiated. First one, Fury was offered 40% after the draw with Wilder, but turned it down. 2and one was when the court mandated him to fight wilder for the third but could say no and pay wilder off and get massive money for the unifier fight. Third was in December last year when he was giving deadlines,pressing AJ to sign quick, seeing AJ was vulnerable after 2 losses against Usyk but gave Chisora more time to negotiate. Fury and Wilder are cut from the same cloth. They want little risk and plenty reward.

People stop saying anyone is scared to fight. These are fighters, they are a different breed. No one is scared. Fury however, wants to fight for the most money possible for the least effort possible. He's a gypsy, it's in his DNA. He knows the AJ fight in Saudi is there now, he clearly opted for that instead. Probably double the money, and probably less risk. For his sake I hope AJ wins his next fight or its all in the can, and regardless of how I feel about AJ, I'd love to see Tysons plans fall flat on his face.
