I really respect Eddie for speaking in defence of female boxers. There is a dangerous amount of misinformation being spoken about this Olympic boxing scandal. The South African runner Caster Semanya is 100% biologically male, as is this boxer who just battered a brave female opponent. Semnanya was born with a rare birth defect called DSD 46XY 5-ARD (5 alpha reductase deficiency - a condition that only males can have. This condition causes malformed genitalia, that resemble a vagina at birth, but with male testes that remain inside the body, where they function normally and produce male levels of testosterone. A male with malformed primary sex organs is not a female. That is why Semanya is banned. This boxer must be banned. It is not a grey area. It is not about 'gender.' It is about the safety and fairness to which all female athletes are entitled.

Just a reminder, Khelif has already lost nine times. One of those losses was to Finnish boxer Mira Potkonen who beat her 5-0. But yeah, if it’s true that she has XY chromosomes, she obviously shouldn’t be competing as a woman, no matter what. That doesn't make her biologically male but intersex. If you want to ban people having XY chromosomes or high level of testosterone, fine, we can discuss this but again, there's no common sense. With regards to a transgender female, it is a more clear situation.
