🌸 that’s my favourite part, I believe this is why they respond so well to great music Notice I said great music, like reggae, oldies, jazz, classical etc, the greatest hits 20’s to 70’s, even 80’s & some 90’s music but closer to 2000, they don’t look happy 🥺 Is it just me but all recent music is just two sentences on repeat? Why ? lol 😂

Avocados are so fussy it makes you wonder how they managed to reproduce in the wild in the first place
@robrod71203 жыл бұрын
They used to be dispersed by giant ground sloths and other megafauna. They would eat an avocado whole, their stomach acid getting rid of the outer seed coat, and then poop it out in a nice packet of fertile soil. Once humans came around however, the megafauna went extinct and the avocado would have likely gone with them if it werent for human agriculture.

@bradengreif11113 жыл бұрын
@@flipfloppingwithMike you will need to get a graft (a branch) from the tree that avacado came from. Avacados done grow clones so it will be extremely unlikely that sees will grow a good tasting harvest. The only way to replicate an avacado is it propagate from the donor tree. Thats about tbe jist if it, they're are some KZbin videos about it I'm sure. Best of luck, hope things work out for you.

I tried to grow avocados this way forever, but they never made it through transplantation. Then, just for gits and shiggles, I put a avocado stone about a half inch into the dirt of an existing plant (my window rosemary) and just kept watering the existing plant as usual. Took about a month, I think, wasn’t really paying attention. Just noticed that one of the rosemary stems was actually an avocado sapling! It’s growing happily with its rosemary friend in my kitchen window, about a foot tall right now. I will probably transplant them into a slightly deeper and wider pot for the winter, and then transplant them both outside next spring.

More than 90 days to even start growing the stem?! Man... when avocados fall on the ground at home those guys are up in less than a week.
