Hi everyone! What grade (out of 10) would you give this video?

Better than the 1st film.

This movie IS that 1%. That elite level where the sequel is actually better than the original. It may be decades before anyone pulls it off again, and even if they do, it will never be to the level of this movie.

I love Hangman's reaction to the whole sequence when Maverick is proving the mission can be done. When it starts he's just smiling sitting back like "okay old man lets see it", and then when Mav's about to do it he's face is like "omg he's gonna do it" and when Mav hits the target all he can say is "dam". He thinks so highly of himself and is slapped with the realization in that moment that no, you aren't the best.

Old guy here. Loved the original, but this is better! I’ve seen it 7 times in the theater, but haven’t had a chance to buy the DVD. So many great scenes. The 5 minute scene with Val Kilmer and Tom is so dramatic it seems so real. Yeah, I teared up. Same thing at the end, when Rooster says, “it’s what my dad would have done.” It left me speechless. This is how you make a legacy sequel, probably a top 3 in sequels, in my opinion. Because the flying sequences are real, a movie like this will never be made again. I hope everyone enjoys this movie, it’s a one of a kind classic.

love or hate Tom Cruise ... to have a great movie ...... wait 30+ years and come back with this is just phenomenal..... one of the best sequels in cinema history
@whiplashfatigue1430
The maturity and growth shown by Maverick in this film versus the first was what I found most heartwarming. Gone is the cockiness of youth, replaced by the self-confidence of experience. He learned his lessons, now it’s time to pass them on.

The fact that all of Tom Cruise’s grunting, body movements, and physical stress is all real, not to mention the actual flying instead of CGI, green screens, and models, puts a whole other dimension to this film.

Watched it in IMAX and was definitely the most fun I've had at the cinema for many years. The nostalgia and nods to the original Top Gun film were pitched perfectly and the flight scenes are spectacular. Loved it.

"Won't get fooled again" is just the perfect match as a music for this part of the movie. Mad respects for the guy that had this idea !!

I never thought they could outdo the original but they knocked it out of the park love this movie
@TheGreatJafa
Loved the soundtrack for this film. So comfortably supportive in the background where it's still heard, but never pulls your focus away. Seeing that Hans Zimmer was one of the composers tells me why it's that good.

Proving one’s point through actions - after the “door has been shut”, is one of the greatest challenges a man can go through. Respect gained could be dang genuine in the end. One of the best scenes.

It was generous of Tom Cruise to give the coolest kill to Hangman. The stolen F14 vs SU57 sequence is thrilling, but Hangman striking just as the fatal missile launched, then emerging through the smoke is pure Cinema.

Damn! This is such an awesome movie. I loved the first Top Gun as a kid, this was 2 hours of nostalgic goose-bumps. Action packed, emotional and funny. And I kinda like the way Hangman comes thru for the save at the end, it was a nice touch.
