Great video, very helpful. As you point out you car was an earlier model it might help 2008 owners to know that when changing the plugs on this model there is not only the 2 bolts holding on the plastic cover for the rocker cover, but also a plastic clip at the back but also (beware of a bolt at the back on the left which if not greased when it replaced can become rusted and very difficult to remove. I had to use an impact driver to remove mine and was a giveaway that the plugs must not have been replaced fore a long time. This might be something to lookout for when buying a second hand version).

Good video however the cabin filter was installed incorrectly . The air flow is downwards hence the collection of leaves on top of the old filter which was also fitted upsidedown.

Great video! I wish I'd seen it yesterday *before* I changed my plugs. That #@%+&*£ cable guide fouling the cyl 3 ignition coil caused me a good deal of bad language before I sussed it. Who designs this stuff? 😫

Hello..thanks for your videos. It helped a lot in my work as I changed all my filters; fuel, air and oil, changed engine oil, changed glow plugs, MAF sensor and SCV, but the car is not starting up. Any idea why this issue? Mine is 2006 Toyota Avensis T25 2.2 D4D CAT.

i have a 06 avensis its not going in 4th gear,an auto electrition said the speed sensor in the abs module is not working,had it changed but still has the problem,any suggestion?

From what I know the one Achilles heel of Toyota of that age can be the gearboxes. I'm not sure why the abs sensor would do that. But you've changed it. Did the auto electrician get any codes? Is it manual or automatic? I'd be looking at something between the the stick and the gearbox - sorry bit of a simplistic statement. Sliders, linkages, generally knackered gearbox. Personally I have never experienced this type of problem on a Toyota. Sorry not to be more help.

Hi this model Avensis does not have a fuel filter that is serviceable. It has one but you dont change it like you do on other cars, it is a unit, it does do not need changing unless it goes wrong. Thanks for watching
