After trying for years to get a grapevine to root, I finally have success! I'm keeping it inside this winter to grow under a growlight and next year I'm going to plant it in my backyard. I'm hoping to make a mini vineyard eventually.

Impressive ! Boxwoods are so expensive here in the US. Excellent idea of using the covered window well as a Cold Frame. My only propagations were different forms of the Angel Wing Begonias (in water) for gifts + Sansevierias got divided (also to give away) before they broke the ceramic pots.

Ughh... Boxwood are pricey here too... unless you want something 6 -8 inches tall... and they go on sale.... but that still adds up. One year I'll use my window well for sure... and I'll be able to keep tabs on it looking out from the basement...lol

I would recommend to plant a few into the ground with the pots and some without the pots. Also a few in your window well just to compare which ones did better next spring. Thank You for sharing.

The roots look nice and healthy. I rooted cuttings from my perennial hibiscus plants and they bloomed nicely this year. Hydrangea cuttings bloomed also but roses will bloom next season. I'll do another video with updates. Happy gardening 🌿🌱🌷🌻🌹🐝☕☕☕

Oh thanks for the video! I took some cuttings in the end of may and they still don’t have any roots- but I think I will do like you did and take some more now in july to be sure I get some new plants. The new growth that is a lighter slade of green is very short though - will it still work you think? 😊
